The four “Besorah's” correlate with the four faces of the living creatures in Y’hezq’el chapter 1, which were also depicted on the four primary banners of the camp of Ysra'al in the wilderness. Luqa’s account emphasizes YaHuWSHuWaH’s humanity, corresponding with the face of a man. MatithYahuw portrays YaHuWSHuWaH primarily as the King, corresponding with the face of the lion. Mark emphasizes His servanthood, corresponding with the ox, and Yahuwchanan corresponds with the eagle—the one who supersedes natural limits (YashaYahuw 40:31 ) and bears the captives back home (Ex. 19:4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.) But those who wait for YaHuWaH shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint.
Yahuwchanan is indeed the most mystical of the books, focusing on the ruwachual significance behind YaHuWSHuWaH’s words and deeds. It also highlights His fulfillment of the particulars of the prescribed festivals. Notice its parallels also to B're'shiyth 1, including enumeration of what happened each day in sequence. The book is also structured around a series of “I AM” statements and signs that accompanied them, demonstrating that He was the one the prophets had all pointed toward.
The Tetragrammaton = yhwh = YaHuWaH
h[wcwhy = YaHuWSHuWaH
[Yahuw = I AM HE - shuwah = SAVES/DELIVERS - thus Yahuw-shuwah = "I AM HE (who) SAVES/DELIVERS] As He says in the following texts:
Huwshua 13:4 “But I Myself am YaHuWaH your Aluhym [Who brought you out] from the land of Mitsrayim; and you shall acknowledge no mighty one but Me, and apart from Me there is no Savior.
[YashaYahuw 43:3 For I AM YaHuWaH your Aluhym, the Qadosh-One of Ysra'al, your Savior[Mashiyach] ..... 43:11 I, even I, AM YaHuWaH; and apart from Me there is no Savior. [Mashiyach]]
[Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I send My Messenger before you, to guard you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 23:21 Pay attention to Him, and listen to His voice. do not provoke Him, for He shall not pardon your disobedience, for My Name is in Him." .... including the tetra-gram.]
[I shall raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I shall put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. It shall happen, that whoever shall not listen to My words which He shall speak in My Name, I shall require it of him. (Deut. 18:18-19)]
Yahuwchanan 12:48 He who rejects Me, and receives not My sayings, has one who judges him. The Word that I spoke shall judge him in the last Day. 12:49 For I spoke not from Myself, but the Father Who sent Me, He gave Me a Commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 12:50 I know that His Commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to Me, so I exactly speak it.”
YirmeYahuw 36:17 They asked Baruwk, saying, Tell us now, How did you write all these words? From his mouth? 36:18 Then Baruwk answered them, He pronounced all these words to me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
Vocabulary Note - pagan based words to Hebraic words:
nabi = prophet; nebi'im = prophets; nebuoth = prophecies; nebuah = prophecy; kohen = priest; kohenim = priests; B'rit = covenant; holy = kodesh or set-apart / Qadosh; glory = esteem/splendor/weightiness;
THE BESORAH ACCORDING TO YAHUWCHANAN (John)
[The Aramaic phrase "BaReshiyth aytohi hwa miltha" (In the beginning was the Miltha) breaks a most basic rule of Aramaic grammar by combining a feminine noun - miltha- with two masculine verbs for "to be" - aytohi and hwa. This is unheard of in Aramaic literature other than in verse 1 and in 1 Yahuwchanan.
1:1 BaReshiyth (In the beginning) was the Miltha (Word/Manifestation/Instance/Substance) - [ this manifestation of YaHuWaH’s nature that “was given a life of its own”], and that Miltha/Word was with Aluah, and Aluah was that Word/Miltha.
[In a beginning was the Miltha …. [BaReshiyth bara Aluhym ET (Aleph Taw) ha'shamayim w'ET (and Aleph Taw) ha'aretz.]
[This verse when literally translated says, "In a beginning I AM the Word and the Word I AM with the ‘Aluah and ‘Aluah I AM the Word.]
1:2 The same was with Aluah at the origin [of the Universe]. 1:3 Everything existed through His hands and without Him not even one thing existed of the things which have existed. 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 1:5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
2 Cor. 4:6 For Aluhym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHuWaH the Anointed. 7 However we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that this all-surpassing power is from YaHuWaH, and not from us.
[Within the First was the Word, and the Word was before the Mighty One, and YaHuWaH was the Word. This One (the Word) was within the First before the Mighty One. All things through Him were caused to exist, and separately of Him, not even one thing that has come into existence did come into existence. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of the sons of Adam. And the Light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not grasp it. (Pure Scriptures for the Remnant)
1:6 There came a man, sent from YaHuWaH, whose name was Yahuwchanan (YaHuWaH's favor). 1:7 The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the Light, that all might believe through him. 1:8 He was not the Light, but was sent that he might testify about the Light. 1:9 The true Light that enlightens everyone coming into the world.
1:10 He was in the world, and the world existed through Him, and the world did not recognize Him.
Through Him: as the Expression of YaHuWaH - His spoken Word (v. 1), not as the man in which form it was now embodied. Though He in this sense was the means of YaHuWaH’s creation (He spoke the “Word”), YaHuWSHuWaH is still called the “beginning (commencer, first in a series) of Aluhym’s creation” (Rev. 3:14) and the “first brought forth of any created thing” (Colossians 1:15), so we must not call Him the Creator, for that would be idolatry.
1:11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become B'ney YaHuWaH, to those who believe on His Name: 1:13 who were begotten not from bloodlines, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man; instead, who were begotten from YaHuWaH. (Chp. 3:1-8)
Chp. 5:43 I have come in My Father’s Name, yet you do not receive Me, if another comes in his own name, that one you will receive.
"Of His Own Will He brought us forth by the Word of Truth (YaHuWSHuWaH), that we should be a kind of first-fruits of all He created. Ya'aqob 1:18
1:14 The Miltha/Word/Torah was made flesh (thru YaHuWSHuWaH - "a body you have prepared for me"), and dwelt (sukkot) among us , and we closely inspected His Qabod - the Radiant Shining - as the Only-Brought-Forth Who is from the Father, overflowing with empowering Favor and Truth.
Tehillim 40:6-7 Slaughter and offering You did not desire. But a body You have prepared for Me. You have not required burnt offering and sin offering. Then I said, “Behold, I have come. It is written in the scroll of the Book about Me.
2 Cor. 4:6 For Aluhym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor (Qabod) of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHuWaH the Anointed.
1:15 Yahuwchanan testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was He of Whom I said, ‘He Who comes after me has surpassed me, for He existed before me.’” 1:16 And out of His completeness we all received empowering favor on top of empowering favor, 1:17 “for the Torah was given through Moshah; Favor and Truth was manifested through YaHuWSHuWaH haMashiyach.” 1:18 No one has ever seen YaHuWaH; but the only-brought-forth Son, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known.
In and through Him - YaHuWSHuWaH - YaHuWaH reaches out to His creation." He is also described as “the outshining of YaHuWaH’s esteem”. (Heb. 1:3
1:19 This is Yahuwchanan’s testimony, when the Yahuwdiym sent priests and Lewiy from Yahrushalum to ask him, “Who are you?”
1:20 He declared, and did not deny, but he declared, “I am not the Anointed.”
1:21 They asked him, “What then? Are you AliYahuw?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”
[I shall raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I shall put My Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. It shall happen, that whoever shall not listen to My Words which He shall speak in My Name, I, I shall require it of him. (Deut. 18:18-19)]
1:22 They said therefore to him, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
1:23 He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the Way of Master YaHuWaH! Make straight in the desert a highway for our Aluhym!, as YashaYahuw the prophet said.”
YashaYahuw 40:3 The voice of one who calls out, “Prepare the way of Master YaHuWaH in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our Aluhym. [Yahuwchanan's probably began his "crying out ministry" sometime after Pesach when a table is set for him --- It is probable that YaHuWSHuWaH was immersed just before Teshuba - the 40 days of fasting before Kippur - and at the very end of His 40 day fast He was tempted by satan. His fast ended the day after Kippur and His ministry began…. in Galilee)
1:24 The ones who had been sent were from the Parash. 1:25 They asked him, "If you are neither the Mashiyach, nor AliYahuw, nor 'The Prophet', what are you doing ritually immersing people?" or “Why then do you officiate the immersion"?
1:26 Yahuwchanan answered them, “I officiate immersion in water, but among you stands One Whom you do not know. 1:27 He is the One Who comes after me, Who is preferred before me, Whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.” (Ruth 4:8) 1:28 These things were done in Bayith 'Anya on other side of the Yarden, where Yahuwchanan was immersing.
1:29 The next day, he saw YaHuWSHuWaH coming to him, and cried out, “Look here! This is Al-Ha'Seh, Aluhym's, very Own Lamb, Who bears away the sin of the world! (Yahuwchanan was a Lewite Priest and proclaimed Yahuwshua as YaHuWaH's Lamb as is required by Torah of the Pesach Lamb.)
Shemoth 34:6 YaHuWaH passed by before him, and proclaimed, “ YaHuWaH, YaHuWaH an Al compassionate and showing favor, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, 34:7 keeping loving kindness for thousands, BEARING AWAY perversity and rebellion and sin; but will by no means acquit the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the descendants, and on the descendants' descendants, on the third and on the fourth generation.” ["This releasing and bearing away our sin is nearly always mistranslated “forgive” in establishment translations, which means ACQUIT. For us who believe on His Name, He paid our punishment, bearing away the punishment Himself, further proving He is YaHuWaH." PS for the Remnant]
1 Kepha 2:24 Who His Own Self bore our sins in His body on the execution stake, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by Whose wounds trickling with blood you were healed.
Bereshiyth 22:8 Abraham said, “Aluhym will provide Himself, a lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they both went together. Aramaic: The Akeida (the binding of Yitzak) showed that YaHuWaH provided Himself as the life that was in the place of Yizak's - "a life for a life".
Follow the succession of days: it has prophetic significance. MatithYahuw 3:11. I only immerse you in water into repentance, but He Who comes after me is mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy to bear. He shall immerse you in fire and the Ruwach haQadosh. The Hebrew strongly suggest that the day He was immersed was the inauguration of the 40 days of repentance that precede Yom Kippur (Teshuba). But this must be a later time. (cf. v. 32), probably six months later (2:). [Matt. 3:11 note: Into repentance: i.e., to initiate repentance, for Shem Tob’s version says “in the days of repentance” (t’shubah), i.e., the traditional 40 days immediately preceding Yom Kippur. (This takes on great significance in 4:2.... the 40 day fast of YaHuWSHuWaH)]
1:30 This is He of Whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man Who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 1:31 Even I did not know Him, but for this reason I came immersing in water: that He would be rendered apparent to Ysra'al.” 1:32 Yahuwchanan testified, saying, “I have seen the Ruwach descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on Him. 1:33 I did not recognize Him, but He Who sent me to immerse in water, He said to me, ‘On Whomever you shall see the Ruwach descending, and remaining on Him, the same is He Who immerses in the Ruwach HaQadosh.’ 1:34 I have seen, and have testified that THIS ONE IS the Son of YaHuWaH.”
[“A Twig will shoot forth from Yishai, and a BRANCH from his roots will bear fruit, and the Ruwach of YaHuWaH will alight upon Him--the Ruwach of wisdom (chokmah) and discernment (biynah/tebunah), the Ruwach of counsel ('etsah) and might (geburah), the Ruwach of knowledge (da'ath) and the [reverential] fear (yi'rah) of YaHuWaH.] (YashaYahuw 11:1, 2)
1:35 Again, the next day [third day], Yahuwchanan was standing with two of his taught ones, 1:36 and he looked at YaHuWSHuWaH as He walked, and cried out, “Look! It's Aluhym's own Lamb”
[The Lamb Abraham said Aluhym Himself would provide; Gen. 22:8, 13; alt. true reading: "Aluhym will provide Himself, a Lamb" - which He did not do at that time for it was a ram caught by it's horns.]He was the antitype to all the lambs people who sinned had to slaughter, and to the Passover lamb without spot or blemish. This time Aluhym was the one who would slaughter a Lamb. (Compare YashaYahuw 53:7)
1:37 The two taught ones heard him speak, and they followed YaHuWSHuWaH. 1:38 YaHuWSHuWaH turned, and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are You staying?”
1:39 He said to them, “Come, and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and they stayed with Him that day. It was about the tenth hour. 1:40 One of the two who heard Yahuwchanan, and followed Him, was Andreas, Shim'own Kepha’s brother. 1:41 He first found his own brother, Shim'own, and said to him, “We have found haMashiyach!” (which means the Anointed One). 1:42 He brought him to YaHuWSHuWaH. YaHuWSHuWaH looked at him, and said, “You are Shim'own the son of Yonah. You shall be called Kepha” (which means, A Piece of Rock/Stone).
1:43 On the next day [fourth day], He was determined to go out into Galiyl, and He found Philippos.YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Follow Me.” 1:44 Now Philippos was from Bayith Tsayad, of the city of Andreas and Kepha. 1:45 Philippos found Nethan'al, and said to him, “We have found Him, of whom Moshah in the Torah, and the Prophets, wrote: YaHuWSHuWaH the son of Yoseph from Nazareth.
How would they have known YaHuWSHuWaH's adoptive father was named Yoseph? More likely, this was a reference to the Mashiyach Ben-Yoseph, the first of two expected Messiahs, as some saw it--the one who would suffer for the sake of Ysra'al, YashaYahuw 53. Natzri: one from Natzereth, with perhaps a Hebrew play on the word n’tziri, which means “Faithfully-guarded or preserved”.
1:46 Nethan'al said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?”
Philippos said to him, “Come and see.”
Nazareth was then an insignificant and infamous suburb of Tsippori/Sepphoris, the Roman capital of the Galil.] Filippos said to him, "Come and see." Come from: alt., “Come out of”, for some believe it was an Essene colony, and no one of any caliber of piety would leave there.
1:47 YaHuWSHuWaH saw Nethan'al coming to Him, and said about him, “Behold, an Ysra'alite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”
Ysra'alite: a true son of Ya'aqob after his character was changed, or perhaps a specific reference to one from the Northern Kingdom, which retained the name Ysra'al when the kingdom split. YaHuWSHuWaH specifically said He had only come for the “lost sheep of the House of Ysra'al”. (Mat. 15:24) He is alluding to YashaYahuw 63:8 For He said, “Surely, they are My people, children who shall not deal in trickery:” so He became their Savior [Le Anointed].
1:48 Nethan'al said to Him, “From where do You recognize me?”
YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “Before Philippos called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
1:49 Nethan'al answered him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of YaHuWaH! You are King of Ysra'al!”
He is saying, "I know you are righteous because I have already seen you in the Messianic Kingdom, when 'everyone will sit under his own vine and his own fig tree'." --Mic. 4:4; Zech. 3:8. This could also be an allusion to Proverbs 27:18: "He who watches his fig tree shall eat its fruit; likewise, he who watches for his master is honored."
1:50 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You shall see greater things than these!” 1:51 He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you, hereafter you shall see heaven opened, and the messengers of YaHuWaH ascending and descending on the Son of Adam.” [Here YaHuWSHuWaH is claiming to be Ya'aqob's Ladder]
2:1 The third day (But it is also the seventh day in the succession of days recorded in chapter 1 … prophetically pointing to the marriage feast of the Millennium .) there was a marriage in Qanah of Galiyl. YaHuWSHuWaH’s mother was there. 2:2 YaHuWSHuWaH also was invited, with His taught ones, to the marriage. 2:3 When the wine ran out, YaHuWSHuWaH’s mother said to Him, “They have no wine.” (Wine: the Aramaic clarifies that it was indeed fermented.)
2:4 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, What is that to Me and to you woman? My hour has not yet come.” (What do we have in common?)
What is that to Me and you: He does not perform on demand or even necessarily meet felt needs. As part of our redemption from the curse, a major responsibility was to be sure He did not heed the voice of the woman as Adam did, starting the whole process of disorder in the human race. So quite literally, here, YaHuWSHuWaH deliberately distances Himself from her advice, though He ends up doing what she wanted. He does everything according to a schedule set by His Father, a series of appointments written into the Hebrew calendar far in advance. We, too, need to await His timing and not rush ahead of Him. My hour: compare 7:30; 8:20; 12:23, 27; 13:1; 17:1; Luke 19:44. Since this is shortly before Passover (v. 12-13), this incident may have come on the third day (v. 1) of the religious year, which begins at the New Moon just prior to Passover. A new year cannot be declared at that new moon unless the unmistakable sign, some Abib (green barley that will be ripe enough to harvest by the day after the Sabbath following Passover), is found by then. He did not believe the time was yet ripe, but there must have been some firstfruits ready to bring, though the rest of the harvest was not ready. (For this was the firstfruits of His signs, v. 11; see also note on v. 6.) Woman: Not a rude way to address a mother in those days. Yet Trimm renders His question, “What do we have in common?” He is beginning to manifest the leaving of His mother for the sake of His bride. (Mat. 19:5; compare Mat. 10:37)
2:5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He may say to you, do it.” 2:6 Now there were six water pots of stone set there after the Yahuwdiym manner of purifying, containing two or three metretes apiece.
Jewish purification rituals: or Judean method of ceremonial washings, to which the Galileans would defer if guests came from Judea. Some believe they were related to the water mixed with the ashes of the red heifer, which was used for the purification of the high priests. They may have been added to a miqbah (ritual bath pool) to render the rest of the water “living”. Numbers 19:17-19 specifies that” for the ceremonially unclean they shall take the ashes from where the sin offering was burnt, along with living water in a vessel, and a ceremonially clean man shall take hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle it … on the unclean person on the third day and on the seventh. Then on the seventh day, he shall purify himself from uncleanness, launder his clothes, and bathe himself in water. Then he shall be ceremonially pure at evening.” This was the third day (v. 1) and YaHuWSHuWaH was the only truly “clean man” alive at that time. But it is also the seventh day in the succession of days recorded in chapter 1. Thus while by one count the time was not ripe, by another it was, so He honored His mother’s request. Baths, Gk., metretas: The historian Josephus says they are the same and each contained about 8.5 gallons (40 liters). Ezra 7:22 tells us that 10 baths are equal to a liquid chomer. A bath is thus the liquid equivalent of an eyfah (stated overtly in Yehezqel 45:11). An eyfah is ten omers (the amount of seed fruit produced by ten arm-load sheaves of standing grain), and thus symbolizes a whole congregation and a tithe of the world. Thus the total was at least 12 baths, which also means daughters in Hebrew.
2:7 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “Fill the water-vessels with water.” They filled them up to the brim. 2:8 He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the chief of the feast.” So they took it. 2:9 When the chief of the feast tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the chief of the feast called the bridegroom, 2:10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when the guests may have gotten well drunk, then that which is inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”
In Yahuwchanan 2:1-11, יהושוע the Messiah alluded to the idea that the marriage of the Lamb will occur after six millennial days are filled to the brim. It was at Qanah that the Messiah turned water into wine at a marriage after six water pots were filled to the brim. This first public miracle of יהושוע the Messiah is deeply prophetic, as it convinced the disciples that יהושוע was the Messiah who would rule in the Millennial Kingdom at the end of 6000 years of mankind's history. The first six millennial days of mankind's history are further grouped into three ages: the Age of Desolation, the Age of Instruction and the Age of the Messiah. [Torah Calendar]
[This was the firstfruits of His signs, - Water symbolizes the Word of YaHuWaH, the Torah; wine symbolizes joy. Turning water into wine symbolizes making the Torah a thing of pure joy. Saving the best for last is a picture of the Kingdom, which comes like a Sabbath after the week of humdrum, ordinary days.... this occurred shortly before Pesach.]
2:11 This, His opening sign [of a series],YaHuWSHuWaH did in Qanah of Galiyl, and it plainly evidenced His supremacy; and His taught ones put their trust in Him.
Sign: a portent of remarkable events about to happen, as well as a mark of authenticity. Plainly evidenced: made manifest, made what was latent actual and overt, realized, made recognizable. His supremacy: or superiority over everyone else (v. 10; compare 10:8)
2:12 After this, He went down to Kaphar Nachuwm, He, and His mother, His brothers, and His taught ones; and they stayed there a few days. 2:13 The Pesach of the Yahuwdim was at hand [first Pesach in YaHuWSHuWaH's ministry], and YaHuWSHuWaH went up to Yahrushalum. 2:14 And within the Mikdash, He found those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and even the changers of money were sitting there.
2:15 He made a whip of cords, and threw all of them out of the Miqdash, both the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables. 2:16 To those who sold the doves, He said, “Take these things out of here! do not make My Father’s House a house of merchandise!” 2:17 And His pupils remembered that it was written: "I Am a stranger to My brothers, and an alien to the sons of My mother; for the zeal of Your House consumes Me and the insults of one insulting You, they fall on Me." Ps. 69:8-9 [First cleansing of the Mikdash - cleansing the camp from sin as did Phineas]
He treats the latter more leniently, possibly because doves were sold to those too poor to afford cattle for slaughters, and thus may not have been overcharging people so exorbitantly. He was fulfilling a duty of the eldest son of a household, cleansing his father's house of all leaven just before Passover. He repeated this act before the last Pesach of His ministry, Matt. 21:12. Merchandise: Compare ZecharYahuw 14:21.
2:18 The Yahuwdiym therefore answered Him, “What sign do you show us, seeing that You do these things?”
2:19 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Destroy this Mikdash, and in three days I shall raise it up.”
[He said He would rebuild the Mikdash in three days. After three “days” (3, 000 years), when His Kingdom is complete, a New Yahrushalum is seen coming down from heaven. (Rev. 21-22)]
2:20 The Yahuwdiym therefore said, “It took forty-six years to build this Mikdash! Will You raise it up in three days?!”
Bereshith 28:16-18 Ya'aqob awakened out of his sleep, and he said, “Surely YaHuWaH is in this Place, and I did not know it.” He was afraid, and said, “How awesome is this Place! This is none other than Aluhym’s House, and this is the gate of Heaven.” Ya'aqob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil on its top. ... 28:22 then this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, will be Aluhym’s House. [Place = Mikdash site. Ya'aqob set up a stone which was to serve as the cornerstone of the House of YaHuWaH on the site of the Miqdash. He anointed it with oil, so it represents the Mashiyach (the “Anointed one”), Who is indeed called the Chief Cornerstone (Eph. 2:20; Mat. 21:42) of the “House” YaHuWaH is building of “living stones” thru YaHuWSHuWaH. (1 Kepha 2:5)]
2:21 But He spoke of the Mikdash of His Body. 2:22 When therefore He was raised from the dead, His taught ones remembered that He said this, and they believed the Writings, and the Word which YaHuWSHuWaH had said.
Writings: In particular, the accuracy of those Scriptures other than the Torah (including the Psalms, which He had quoted), in contrast to the teaching of the Tzadduqim that only the Torah was inspired. (Note His opinion toward another of their teachings in Mat. 22:29; however, on a few points, such as when the firstfruits of barley should be brought, the Tzadduqim were more Scripturally sound than their arch-rivals, the Prushim.)
2:23 Now when He was in Yahrushalum at the Pesach, [full moon - day 1 ULB] during the feast, many believed in His Name, when they considered that the signs that He was doing, are of Him (YaHuWaH). 2:24 But YaHuWSHuWaH did not trust Himself to them, because He knew everyone,
Entrust Himself to them: speak plainly to them or put Himself in their care; Aramaic, commit His soul to them.
2:25 and because He did not need for anyone to testify concerning man; for He Himself knew what was in man.
3:1 Now there was a man of the Parash named Nikodemos, a ruler of the Yahuwdiym. 3:2 The same came to Him by night, and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from Aluhym, for no one can do these signs that You do, unless YaHuWaH is with Him.” [At Pesach night it was a custom to stay up very late or all night]
3:3 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “ It is true and most certainly, I tell you, unless anyone be born [procreated/conceived] from the beginning, he cannot perceive the Kingdom of YaHuWaH.”
(literally - "from the start": like Adam was at creation. It is referring to the Ruwach birthing us anew into the "image of Aluhym" - as was Adam. ... Aluhym "breathed" into Adam His Character and when we are born anew from "the beginning", then YaHuWaH thru YaHuWSHuWaH "breathes" into us His Character.)
Born again: or, born from above; Aramaic, birthed from the hierarch. The idea of rebirth is celebrated in the new moon festivals, and, it being night (v. 2), YaHuWSHuWaH was probably gesturing toward the moon as he said these words. The moon disappears for three days, then is “reborn”. The Hebrew word for “month” is “renewal”, and likewise, this renewal is not a one-time event...
3:4 Nikodemos said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?”
3:5 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born [conceived] of Water and of the Ruwach, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of YaHuWaH!
Water: both the immersion waters of ritual purification, which are a symbol of being buried and “born again” to new life, as well as the letter of the Torah, often symbolized by water yet incomplete without the ruwach that underlies them (the theme of Mat. 5-7). This is an allusion to Yehezqel 36:25-27, where YaHuWaH promises to sprinkle the scattered Ysra'alites with pure water and put a new heart and ruwach in them, causing us to walk in His statutes.
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born [conceived] of Ruwach Ha'Qadosh is ruwach. 3:7 do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You need be procreated [conceived] from the First.’ 3:8 The wind [Ruwach] blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but do not discern from where it comes nor where it goes. So everyone who is born of the Ruwach is just like this. …….. [not knowing how their deliverance happened or why they are where they are .... it's all the work of YaHuWaH!]
Wind: the same word for "ruwach" and "breath" in Hebrew. As we are born into this constantly-renewing wind, we, like Melkhitzedeq, will seem to have “no beginning and no end” (Heb. 7:3). Melkhitzedeq is identified with Shem, so he originated from Noah, and we know how old he was when he died, but in the text, when he met Abraham, his lineage is not given. In that sense, he as no parentage, and so it is with those who follow YaHuWSHuWaH. There will be a change in who is counted as our mother and father and sisters and brothers (Mat. 12:50)—possibly more than once! 1 Kepha 1:22-23 supports this, showing that being born again through the Word of YaHuWaH and obeying the truth through the ruwach means loving one another sincerely and with a pure heart. As we increasingly walk in YaHuWaH’s ways, we will be a mystery to those who do not; they will say, “Where are they coming from?” Those who used to know us will not know where we have gone.
3:9 Nikodemos answered Him, “How can these things be?”
3:10 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “Are you the teacher of Ysra'al, and do not understand these things? 3:11 Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you do not receive our witness. 3:12 If I told you earthly matters and you do not believe, how shall you believe if I tell you heavenly matters? 3:13 No one has gone up into the (One of the) heavens, except He Who came down out of (the One of) the heavens - the Son of Adam. 3:14 Yet just as Moshah lifted up the serpent in the wilderness [Num. 21:8-9], even so must the Son of Adam be lifted up, 3:15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have endless life. 3:16 For YaHuWaH-did-so-love the world, that He gave His One and only Son of His direct issue, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have endless life. 3:17 For YaHuWaH did not send His Son into the world to judge the world [at this time], but that the world should be saved through Him [literally: by His Hand]. 3:18 He who puts his trust in Him is not judged [condemned]. He who does not believe has been judged already, because He has not put his trust in the Name of the unique Son of YaHuWaH. 3:19 This is the deciding factor, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their works were evil. 3:20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his works would be exposed. 3:21 But he who does the Truth comes to the Light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been produced by YaHuWaH.”
2 Cor. 6 For Aluhym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHuWaH the Anointed. 7 However we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that this all-surpassing power is from YaHuWaH, and not from us.
[YashaYahuw 26:12 O YaHuWaH, You have set total well-being in place for us, You have worked into us all our achievements as well! [You have even done all of our works in us! ], "By [YaHuWaH's] added provision we are rescued, through belief/trust, and [even] that is not from ourselves; it is YaHuWaH's gift, so that no one may boast", (Many people are familiar with this verse and think that this excludes "works-deliverance"?. But the following verse brings the balance:) "... because we are His workmanship, created in Mashiyach unto [particular] good works, which YaHuWaH has ordained in advance for us to walk in." (Eph. 2:10)]
"It is YaHuWaH Who is operative in you, both [making you] want to and [also] proves it by carrying out the good things that please Him." (Phil. 2:13) (SFHHof Ysra'al)] ----- "For YaHuWaH is working in you, giving you the desire to obey Him and the power to do what pleases Him.]
3:22 After these things, YaHuWSHuWaH came with His taught ones into the land of Yahuwdah. He stayed there with them, where they officiated mikbah. 3:23 Yahuwchanan also was officiating mikbah in Eynown near Salim, because there was much water there. And people were presenting themselves publicly and being immersed. 3:24 For Yahuwchanan was not yet thrown into prison. 3:25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of Yahuwchanan’s taught ones with some Yahuwdiym about purification of mikbah. 3:26 They came to Yahuwchanan, and said to him, “Rabbi, He Who was with you on the other side of the Yarden, to Whom you have testified, behold, the same is officiating mikbah, and everyone is coming to Him.”
On the other side: Aramaic, at the crossing of the Yarden. Just as Moshah led Ysra'al up to the Yarden but Yahuwshua was the one to lead them across, thus, Yahuwshua had to lead from this point, for Yahuwchanan had done his part: (Moshah (the Torah) cannot save us - only Yahuwshuwah can bring us into His Kingdom.)
3:27 Yahuwchanan answered, “A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from [the One of ] the Heavens. 3:28 You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Anointed,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’ 3:29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears Him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. This, my joy, therefore is made full.
Bridegroom’s friend: a particular title for a role similar to what we call “best man” at weddings today. One of his duties was to stand near the door of the wedding chamber while the guests feasted, and await the groom’s shout that the marriage had been consummated. YaHuWaH said He would allure the people of Ysra'al back out to the wilderness and there speak to their heart. (Huwshua. 2:16) Yahuwchanan was the attention-getter to bring the people out, but He was not to remain the center of attention. (YashaYahuw 62:5)
3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 3:31 For He Who comes from above is over all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks of the earth. [Rev. 13:11] He Who comes from the heaven is over all.
3:32 And He testifies this: What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His witness. 3:33 The one who does accept His testimony has attested to the authenticity of the fact that YaHuWaH is True,
The one who does: i.e., Yahuwchanan, who is committing this record to writing. Attested: literally, set his seal upon. Telling the truth: the term includes the connotation of not hiding anything.
3:34 for He Whom YaHuWaH has sent speaks the Words of YaHuWaH; for YaHuWaH gives the Ruwach haQadosh without measure.
I.e., whereas YaHuWSHuWaH measures out gifts to the rest of the members of His Body (Eph. 4:7), YaHuWaH speaks His words to YaHuWSHuWaH without limits, because He is fully tuned in to the right “frequency”, while we, for the time being, understand only in part. (1 Cor. 13:9, 12) …The "Fullness" of YaHuWaH dwelt within Him.
3:35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all into His hand.
Compare Mat. 28:18. The law of agency allows the agent to make decisions in the name of the one who sent him, indicating his deep trust in the wisdom of the one who is “acting as him” on his behalf. This theme will be prominent throughout the remainder of Yahuwchanan’s account.
3:36 The one who puts his trust in the Son has age-abiding life, but one who disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of Aluhym remains on him.”
[I shall raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I shall put My Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. It shall happen, that whoever shall not listen to My Words which He shall speak in My Name, I, I shall require it of him. (Deut. 18:18-19)]
4:1 Therefore when YaHuWSHuWaH knew that the Parash had heard that He was making more followers and officiating more mikbah's than Yahuwchanan 4:2 (although YaHuWSHuWaH Himself did not officiate, but His taught ones), 4:3 He left Yahuwdah, and departed again into Galiyl. [most likely after Shabuot] 4:4 He needed to pass through Shomerown. 4:5 So He came to a city of Shomerown, called Shekar, near the parcel of ground that Ya'aqob gave to his son, Yoseph.
Sh’khem was the first place Ya'aqob settled when returning to the Land, and the place Yahushua took the whole congregation of Ysra'al before they settled down in their various tribal territories after conquering Keana'an. So what YaHuWSHuWaH does there is very symbolic.
4:6 Ya'aqob’s well was there. YaHuWSHuWaH therefore, being tired from His journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour / high noon. 4:7 A woman of Shomerown came to draw water.
[Six hours after sunrise is high noon, an unusual time to draw water for women, unless they had reason to avoid other women. ]
YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “Provide Me with something to drink.”
This is the same thing Yitzhaq’s servant had asked Ribqah, as the test of which woman would become the patriarch’s bride. (B're'shiyth 24) YaHuWSHuWaH is clearly alluding to this incident, for He was sent to find His bride among the “lost sheep of the House of Ysra'al”. (Mat. 10:6; 15:24) Williamson speaks of the Jews recognizing “an essential affinity of both race and religion with the Samaritans”. They are the first people outside of Judea to whom YaHuWSHuWaH sent His emissaries. (Acts 1:8) Thus we must deduce that they were definitely descendants of the Northern Kingdom of Ysra'al whom YaHuWSHuWaH had come to recall to the Covenant/B'rit. (YashaYahuw 49:6) Steve Collins cites evidence that other tribes which had been exiled by the Assyrians actually came back to settle in the Land of Ysra'al just prior to YaHuWSHuWaH’s time, then were again scattered. So this was the perfect window in time for YaHuWSHuWaH to contact them while they were nearby.
4:8 For His taught ones had gone away into the city to buy food.
4:9 The woman from Shomerown therefore said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Yahuwdim ask for a drink from me, both a woman and a Shomerowniy?” (For Yahuwdim have no dealings with Shomerowniy .)
4:10 YaHuWSHuWaH answered her, “If you knew the gift of YaHuWaH, and Who it is Who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water [running water].”
YashaYahuw 12:3 Therefore with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of deliverance [yashu`ah].
Living water: a Hebrew idiom for running water, or any water which has fresh water running into it so that it is not stagnant. One of the requirements for a ritual immersion pool was that it must have an inlet for living water. Immersion is a picture of rebirth, and thus this is what YaHuWSHuWaH is alluding to, though she does not fully catch his hint:
4:11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where then have You that living water? 4:12 Are You stronger than our father, Ya'aqob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his children, and his livestock?”
Stronger: Ya'aqob moved a stone from the mouth of a well that normally took seven men to move. (B're'shiyth 29:8-10) He also found his bride at that well. Our ancestor: He was the common ancestor of both YaHuWSHuWaH and this woman. 1.Yahrushalum/Judea, 2. Samaria (the Northern Kingdom), 3. and the rest of the world (Acts 1:8) may be the “three flocks” that were waiting by the well for Him to remove the obstacle. (B're'shiyth 29:2-3)
4:13 YaHuWSHuWaH answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water shall thirst again, 4:14 but whoever drinks of the Water that I shall give him shall never thirst again; but the Water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to endless lives.” [chp. 7:37-39]
4:15 The woman said to Him, “My Master, give me this water, so that I do not get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”
4:16 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
4:17 The woman answered, “I have no husband.”
YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband,’ 4:18 for you have had five men; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly.”
The fact that this woman came to draw water at the hottest part of the day also shows that she was ostracized by her community. The woman had literally said, “I have no man”. No man to tend the flock, and no true husband, though she “had” someone at this time. As such she represented the Northern Kingdom, whom YaHuWaH often described through the prophets as adulterous and unfaithful to Him, going after other men who were not her husband. The five books of Moshah were the marriage contract (thus she had “five husbands”). He divorced her (YirmeYahuw 3:8; YashaYahuw 50:1), and she continued to be promiscuous (with the elohim of other nations), but never did marry another. But an Ysra'alite man was permitted to remarry the same woman if she was not married to another in the meantime. (Deut. 24:1-4) As Hushuwa was told to take his wife back home but not live with her as a wife for a long period (Hos. 3), YaHuWSHuWaH had come to bring YaHuWaH’s wife back into the household. (Eph. 2:19) The sentence of “No pity” [390 Yrs.] was up, but not until much later when the second sentence of “not being My people” [2730 Yrs. - 7x390 - ending in 2008] was up would the wedding come, when we again call Him “my man” instead of “lord”. (Hos. 2:16) The certificate of debt (both the original contract by which our unfaithfulness could be measured, and the divorce document) was taken out of the way through YaHuWSHuWaH. (Col. 2:13-14) How? In ancient Ysra'al when a man went to war, he wrote a divorce document and left it with his wife in case he should die in battle and his body not be found, in which case she was free to marry another. (Abi ben Mordechai; compare Romans 7) YaHuWSHuWaH’s body was not found when searched for after His death “in battle”, and thus the covenant could be renewed. Ysra'al could have a “new” husband—though He was the same, but with all the past offenses erased. (Heb. 9:15)
4:19 The woman said to Him, “My Master, I perceive that You are a prophet. 4:20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and You say that in Yahrushalum is the place where people ought to worship.”
This mountain: Mt. Grizim, the mountain of blessings (Deut. 11:29; Yahushua 8:33) that sits above Sh’khem (Judges 9:7) opposite Mt. Ebal, the mount of curses.
4:21 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming; it is already here, when neither in this mountain, nor in Yahrushalum, shall you worship the Father. 4:22 You worship something which you do not acknowledge; but we worship That Which we acknowledge; since life(s) comes from the Yahuwdim. 4:23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the authentic worshippers shall worship the Father in Breath (Ruwach) and in Truth/Remembrance , for the Father seeks such to be His worshippers. 4:24 For Aluhym is Ruwach/Breath [B're'shiyth 2: 7], and those who worship Him must worship Him by means of the Breath (Ruwach) and in the Truth He ordained.”
4:25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Mashiyach comes,” (He Who is called Anointed One). “When He has come, He shall explain to us all things.”
4:26 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “I AM HE, The One Who speaks to you.”
4:27 At this, His taught ones came. They marveled that He was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, “What are You looking for?” or, “Why do You speak with her?”
[YashaYahuw 41:4 - "I, YaHuWaH, am the First, and even the Last, I AM HE.” … 43:11- "and apart from Me there is no Savior."]
Surprised: It was not common in those days for men to hold conversations with women other than their relatives in public places. The Arab world has carried on this custom to our own day. The disciples were discreet in their response, but in fact He was looking for a bride—not this woman in particular, though she turned out to be part of it. In Deut. 18:15, YaHuWSHuWaH is called a prophet like Moshah. Moshah found his wife while resting at a well. (Exodus 2:15ff) The disciples did not drive her away as the shepherds tried to do to the seven daughters of the Midyanite priest in Exodus 2. These shepherds are both “pastors” who tell their flocks that the Torah is not for them, or rabbinical Jews who say that the Sheep lost among the Gentiles (who constitute His bride) only need to be Noachide, obeying the minimal ethical principles, but not the Torah itself, since that is only for themselves. (Avi ben Mordechai) In contrast to these wicked Shepherds (Yehezqel 34), YaHuWaH said He would send His own Shepherd. (YaHuWSHuWaH goes into great detail about how this is who He is in chapter 10.) Moshah (here a picture of YaHuWSHuWaH) rescued the women from these shepherds, and allowed their flocks to be watered.
4:28 So the woman left her water pot, and went away into the city, and said to the people, 4:29 “Come, see a Man Who told me everything that I did. Can this be the Anointed One?”
Left her water pot: a picture of forsaking herself (as the “earthen vessel”, 2 Cor. 4:7) so that others could also benefit from YaHuWSHuWaH’s presence.
4:30 They went out of the city, and were coming to Him. 4:31 In the meanwhile, the taught ones urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
YaHuWSHuWaH was in search of those who knew they were thirsty for real water (YaHuWaH’s words). Today He is taking His firstfruits from those who come back to the ancient well that does hold real living water (the Torah) rather than those who stay in the city (the system mankind has built)
4:32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.”
4:33 The taught ones therefore said one to another, “Has anyone brought Him something to eat?”
4:34 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.
He had gone 40 days without food or water. Technically this is impossible! You can survive 40 days without food, but not without water. You will dehydrate. Moshah did the same thing twice, and AliYahuw once. They were in a supernatural state.
As it is written, ‘Wisdom gives life to those who have it.' Happy is the body that can nourish itself on food of the soul! ... Torah derives from Wisdom on high, and those who engage Torah enter the source of her roots, so their food flows down from that high and set-apart sphere." YaHuWSHuWaH is the Torah put into fleshly form (1:14), so he knows how to eat of this "bread". But he also promises that those who overcome in the face of opposition may also eat of this "hidden manna". (Rev. 2:17)
4:35 Do not you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest?’ ( Shabuot to Sukkot is about 4 months)
Four months until the harvest: His going to Samaria at this time was directly linked to a message that YaHuWaH put forth in one of His festivals. It is wheat that turns white at harvest time. From this, we can tell that the pilgrimage festival (Ex. 23:14-16) He was returning from (v. 3) was Shabuoth, the time that symbolizes the Father’s work being brought to completion (v. 34). Psalm 67, which was read during the counting of days from Passover to Shabuoth, relates clearly to this "festival of the nations”: “YaHuWaH, be merciful to us and bless us. Cause Your face to shine upon us, that Your way may be known on earth, Your deliverance among all nations. …Let all the peoples praise You, and let the nations be glad, for You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on the earth...Then the earth shall yield her increase.”
[Pesach and ULB were passed - this was an agricultural festival that had been practiced for 1500 years before YaHuWSHuWaH. It is at the beginning of the harvest (Shabuoth--in Sivan, around June), four months before the ingathering in the fall (Sukkoth) So this encounter happened on or around Shabuoth. ]
Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and look at the fields [world/landscape], that they are white for harvest already. 4:36 He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit to endless life; that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. [Tehillim 126] 4:37 For in this the saying is true, ‘One sows [YaHuWSHuWaH], and another reaps.’ 4:38 I sent you to reap that for which you haven’t labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”
4:39 From that city many of the Shomerowniy believed in Him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I did.” 4:40 So when the Shomerowniy came to Him, they begged Him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
[This represents the two millennia (cf. Psalm 90:4) in which YaHuWSHuWaH, being invited, sojourned among the non-Jews while they were still in places other than that which He established as the center of His worship.]
4:41 Many more believed because of His Word. 4:42 They said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Anointed One, the life-Giver of the world.”
4:43 After the two days He went out from there and went into Galiyl. 4:44 For YaHuWSHuWaH Himself testified that a prophet has no esteem in His own country. 4:45 So when He came into Galiyl, those of Galiyl received Him, having seen all the things that He did in Yahrushalum at the feast [Shabuoth], for they also went to the feast 4:46 YaHuWSHuWaH came therefore again to Qanah of Galiyl, where He made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Kaphar Nachuwm. 4:47 When he heard that YaHuWSHuWaH was coming out of Yahuwdah into Galiyl, he went to Him, and begged Him that He would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 4:48 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not trust Me.”
4:49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” 4:50 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Go your way. Your son lives.” The man believed the Word that YaHuWSHuWaH spoke to him, and he went his way. 4:51 As he was now going down, his servants met him and brought word, saying “Your child lives!”
Brought word: Aramaic, evangelized. (The Greek word is related but slightly different.) The true Besorah is not complete until the “Gentiles” that YaHuWSHuWaH brought back from the point of death are fully back to health, restored to being full-fledged Ysra'alites.
4:52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.” 4:53 So the father knew that it was at that hour in which YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Your son lives.” He believed, as did his whole house. 4:54 This is again the second sign that YaHuWSHuWaH did, having come out of Yehuwdah into Galiyl.
Miracle: or sign. What did it signify? That He does not have to descend (v. 49), i.e., lower Himself (not that He is not humble,) but that He need not stop being set-apart in order to heal those who are touching death (and are thereby unclean).
5:1 After these things, there was a Yahuwdim festival [Probably Sukkot] (1. Pesach/ ULB/Firstfruits, 2. Feast of Weeks/Shabuoth, 3.Yom Teruah/Yom Kippur/ Sukkot), and YaHuWSHuWaH went up to Yahrushalum. 5:2 Now in Yahrushalum by the sheep gate, there is certain place of immersion, which is called in Ibriy, “Bayith Chesed,” having five porches. 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, blind, lame, or paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water; 5:4 for a Messenger of YaHuWaH went down into the immersion pool at feast seasons, and stirred up the water. Whoever entered in first after the stirring of the water was made whole of whatever disease he had. [not in some original graphs] 5:5 A certain man was there, who had been sick for thirty-eight years . 5:6 When YaHuWSHuWaH saw him lying there, and knew that he had been sick for a long time, He asked him, “Do you want to be made well?”
5:7 The sick man answered Him, “ Yes, my Master, but I have no one to cast (ballo) me into the immersion pool when the water is stirred up, but while I’m coming, another descends before me.”
5:8 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Arise, take up your mat, and walk about.”
5:9 Immediately, the man was made well, and took up his mat and walked about.
Now it was the Shabbath on that day. 5:10 So the Yahuwdiym said to him who was healed, “It is the Shabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat.”
5:11 He answered them, “He Who made me well, the same said to me, ‘Take up your mat, and walk about.’”
5:12 Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your mat, and walk about’?”
5:13 But he who was healed did not know who it was, for YaHuWSHuWaH had withdrawn, a crowd being in the place.
5:14 Afterward YaHuWSHuWaH found him in the Miqdash, and said to him, “Behold, you are made well. Sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you.”
5:15 The man went away, and told the Yahuwdiym that it was YaHuWSHuWaH Who had made him well. 5:16 For this cause the Yahuwdiym persecuted YaHuWSHuWaH, and sought to kill Him, because He did these things on the Shabbath. 5:17 But YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “My Father is still working, so I am working, too.” 5:18 For this cause therefore the Yahuwdiym sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only loosed the Shabbath, but also called YaHuWaH His Own Father, making Himself equal to YaHuWaH. 5:19 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore answered them, “Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father doing. For whatever things He does, these the Son also does likewise. 5:20 For the Father has affection for the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does. He shall show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 5:21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He desires. 5:22 For the Father judges no one, but He has given all judgment to the Son, 5:23 that all may esteem the Son, even as they esteem the Father. He who does not esteem the Son does not esteem the Father Who sent Him.
5:24 “Amein, amein, I tell you, he who hears My Word, and places his confidence in the One Who sent Me, has age-abiding life and will not come into judgement/condemnation, but has crossed over (removed himself) from death to life. 5:25 Amein, amein, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead shall hear the Son of YaHuWaH's Voice; and those who hear shall live [1st Resurrection]. 5:26 For as to the Father, He has Lives within Himself (Qnoma/Underlying Substance), even so He gave to the Son also to have Lives within Himself (khaya b'qnomeh). 5:27 He also gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is a Son of Adam. (Yehezqel 20:4) 5:28 Do not wonder at this, for the hour comes, in which all that are buried shall hear His Voice, 5:29 and shall come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life ; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment. (both in the 2nd resurrection - Rev. 20:11-13 = all) 5:30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is righteous; because I do not seek My Own will, but the will of My Father Who sent Me.
4 Testimonials: evidence for YaHuWSHuWaH being YaHuWaH’s Word
5:31 “If I testify about Myself, My witness is not valid. 5:32 It is another who testifies about Me. I know that the testimony which He testifies about Me is true. 5:33 You have sent to (1)Yahuwchanan, and he has testified to the Truth. 5:34 But I do not receive testimony from man; However, I say these things that you may be saved. 5:35 That one there was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to jump for joy for an hour (a period of time) in his light. 5:36 Yet I hold the testimony of a greater One than Yahuwchanan: for (2) the works which My Father gave Me in order that I should complete them, the works themselves which I perform bear testimony about Me that the Father has sent Me. 5:37 (3) The Father Himself, Who sent Me, has testified about Me. You have neither listened to His Voice (obeyed Him) at any time, nor have you discerned His form. 5:38 You do not even have His Word living in you; because you do not believe Him Whom He sent.
5:39 (4) “You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have endless life; but those are the ones which testify about Me. 5:40 However you will not come to Me, so that you can receive the Truth, the Source of eternal life. 5:41 I do not receive praise from men. 5:42 Instead I have recognized you - that you do not have Aluhym's love in yourselves. 5:43 I have come in My Father's Name and you do not receive me, if another comes in his own name, him you would receive.
[Shemoth/Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I send My Messenger before you, to guard you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 23:21 Pay attention to Him, and listen to His voice. do not provoke Him, for He shall not pardon your disobedience, for My Name is in Him."] [Father YaHuWaH, Son YaHuWSHuWaH He came in His Father's Name including all of the tetra-gram.]
[2:11 Yahuwdah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Ysra'al and in Yahrushalum; for Yahuwdah has profaned the Set-apart Place of YaHuWaH which He loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign Aluhym. [ba'al]]
5:44 How can you believe, who receive praise from one another, and you do not seek the Esteem that comes from the only Aluhym?
5:45 “Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moshah, on whom you have set your hope. 5:46 For if you believed Moshah, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 5:47 But if you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My Words?”
6:1 After these things, YaHuWSHuWaH went away to the other side of the sea of Galiyl, which is also called the Sea of Tiberios. 6:2 A great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He did on those who were sick. 6:3 YaHuWSHuWaH went up into the mountain, and He sat there with His taught ones. 6:4 Now the Pesach, the Yahuwdim festival [2nd Pesach of His ministry], was at hand. 6:5 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore lifting up His eyes, and seeing that a great multitude was coming to Him, said to Philippos, “Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?” 6:6 This He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.
6:7 Philippos answered him, “Two hundred denarii [1 denarius = 1 day’s salary] worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may receive a little.”
6:8 One of His taught ones, Andreas, Shim'own Kepha’s brother, said to Him, 6:9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?” (barley is the Pesach grain)
6:10 YaHuWSHuWaH said, “Have the people recline.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men reclined, in number about five thousand. 6:11 YaHuWSHuWaH took the loaves; and having given thanks, He distributed to the taught ones, and the taught ones to those who were reclining; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired. 6:12 When they were filled, He said to his taught ones, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.” (Yashayahuw 61:1 He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound;)
[Amos 9:11-15 “For, behold, I will command, and I will sift the house of Ysra'al among all the nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet not the least kernel will fall on the earth.]
6:13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve hand-baskets [12 Tribes of Ysra'al] with broken pieces from the five barley loaves [5 books of the Bread of Torah], which were left over by those who had eaten. 6:14 When therefore the people saw the sign which YaHuWSHuWaH did, they said, “This is truly the Prophet Who comes into the world.” 6:15 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take Him by force, to make Him King, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself.
6:16 When evening came, His taught ones went down to the sea, 6:17 and they entered into the boat, and were going over the sea to Kaphar Nachuwm. It was now dark, and YaHuWSHuWaH had not yet come to them. 6:18 The sea was tossed by a great wind blowing. 6:19 When therefore they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia, [3 1/2 miles] they saw YaHuWSHuWaH walking on the sea, ( Iyob 9:8) and drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid. 6:20 But He said to them, “I AM He. Do not be afraid.” [YLT: "and he saith to them, 'I am he, be not afraid;" ] 6:21 They were willing therefore to receive Him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going!
(Iyob 9:8 "He Alone stretches out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea.)" and ("These see YaHuWaH’s works, and His wonders in the deep. For He commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves. They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble. They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. Then they cry to YaHuWaH in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distress. He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because it is calm, so He brings them to their desired haven.") [Tehillim 107:26-30]
6:22 On the next day, the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except the one in which His taught ones had embarked, and that YaHuWSHuWaH hadn’t entered with His taught ones into the boat, but His taught ones had gone away alone. 6:23 However boats from Tiberios came near to the place where they ate the bread after the Master had given thanks. 6:24 When the multitude therefore saw that YaHuWSHuWaH wasn’t there, nor His taught ones, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Kaphar Nachuwm, seeking YaHuWSHuWaH. 6:25 When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?”
6:26 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled. 6:27 do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to endless life, which the Son of Adam shall give to you, for the Father, Aluhym, has set His seal on Him. (alternate: For this One the Father sealed YaHuWaH.”)
6:28 They said therefore to Him, “What must we do, that we may work the works of Aluhym ?”
6:29 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “This is the work of Aluhym, that you put your trust in Him Whom He has sent forth.”
6:30 They said therefore to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, that we may see, and believe You? What work do You do? 6:31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, ‘They asked [Moshah], and He brought quails, and He satisfied them with the bread of the sky.’” Tehillim 105:40
6:32 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, it wasn’t Moshah who gave you the bread out of heaven, but My Father gives you the True Bread out of heaven. 6:33 For the Bread of Aluhym is He Who comes down out of (the One of) heaven, and gives life to the world.”
6:34 They said therefore to Him, “Master, give us this bread always.”
6:35 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “I AM the Bread of life. He who comes to Me shall not be hungry, and he who puts his trust in Me shall never be thirsty [in the ruwach]. 6:36 But I have said this to you, because though you have discerned Me, yet you do not trust! 6:37 Everyone that my Father has given to Me shall come towards Me, and he who does not come towards Me I shall cast outside! 6:38 For I descended from the One of the heavens, not to do My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me. 6:39 This is the will of My Father Who sent Me, that I shall not lose any from all that He has given Me *, but that I should raise him up at the End of Days (acharit hayamin). 6:40 This is the will of the One Who sent Me, that everyone who discerns the Son and puts his trusts in Him, might possess endless life; and I shall raise him up during the End of Days.” 17:12 … *"those that You have given Me I have kept, and none of them are lost."
6:41 The Yahuwdiym therefore murmured concerning Him, because He said, “I AM the Bread which descended from the One of the heavens.” 6:42 They said, “Isn’t this YaHuWSHuWaH, the son of Yoseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does He say, ‘I have descended from the One of the heavens?’” (they were saying he was of the earth/dust - Adam)
6:43 Therefore YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “do not murmur among yourselves. 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me draws (helko/drags) him, and I shall raise him up in the End of Days. 6:45 It is written in the Prophets,‘They shall all be taught by YaHuWaH.’ [YashaYahuw 54:13] Therefore everyone who has heard from the Father (by the Ruwach), and has learned, comes to Me. 6:46 Not that anyone has seen/discerned the Father, except He Who is from (para/beside) Aluhym: He has seen/discerned the Father . 6:47 Most certainly, I tell you, he who puts his trust in Me has endless life. 6:48 I AM the Bread of life. 6:49 Your Fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 6:50 This is the Bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die. 6:51 I AM the Living Bread [Torah] which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats [in the ruwach] of this Bread, he shall live forever. Yes, the Bread which I shall give is My flesh, which I will donate for the life of the world.”
6:52 The Yahuwdiym therefore contended with one another, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”
6:53 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you [in the ruwach] eat the body of the Son of Adam and [in the ruwach] drink His blood, you do not have life in yourselves (Qnoma - Underlying Substance). 6:54 He who [in the ruwach] eats from My body and [in the ruwach] drinks from My blood has endless life, and I shall raise him up at the Last Day. 6:55 For truly My body is food, and truly My blood is drink. 6:56 He who [in the ruwach] eats My body and [in the ruwach] drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 6:57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father; so he who [in the ruwach] feeds on Me, he shall also live because of Me. 6:58 This is the Bread which came down from the One of the heavens—not as our fathers ate the manna, and died. He who [in the ruwach] eats This Bread shall live forever!” 6:59 He said these things in the synagogue, as He taught in Kaphar Nachuwm.
Matt. 26:26 As they were eating, YaHuWSHuWaH took bread (artos), gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the talmidim, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body, which is given for your sake. Perform this for the remembrance of Me”[Luke 22: 17]
26:27 He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “ Take this and distribute among yourselves, all of you drink it, 26:28 for this is My blood of the B'rit, which is poured out for many for the liberation from sins. 26:29 But I tell you that I shall not drink of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew with you in My Abba’s Reign.”
(Shemoth 12:8-9 "They shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs. Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts.")
6:60 Therefore many of His taught ones, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying! Who can understand it?”
6:61 But YaHuWSHuWaH knowing in Himself that His taught ones murmured at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to lose trust? 6:62 Then what if you would see the Son of Adam ascending to where He was before? 6:63 It is the Breath Who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The Words that I speak to you are Breath, and are life. 6:64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For YaHuWSHuWaH knew from the beginning (First) who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray Him. 6:65 He said, “For this cause have I said to you that no one can come to Me, unless it is given to him by My Father .” (The saved are "hand picked" by YaHuWaH ! - His selection, His work!) (Yahuwshuwah is taking the role of the High Priest)
6:66 At this, many of His taught ones went back, and walked no more with Him. 6:67 YaHuWSHuWaH said therefore to the twelve, “You do not also want to go away, do you?”
6:68 Shim'own Kepha answered Him, “O my Master, to whom would we go? You have the Words of the Age of life. 6:69 We have come to believe and know that You are the Anointed, the Son of the living Aluah.”
6:70 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil [an adversary]?”* 6:71 Now He spoke of Yehudah, the son of Shim'own Iscariot, for it was he who would give Him over, being one of the twelve.
(* This is typified in the fall of ha satan who walked among the stones of fire and was the covering cherub and was perfect in all his ways until sin was found in him.)
7:1 After these things, YaHuWSHuWaH was walking in Galiyl, for He would not walk in Yahuwdah, because the Yahuwdiym sought to kill Him.
7:2 Now the Yahuwdiym festival, the Festival of Sukkot, was at hand. 7:3 His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here, and go into Yahuwdah, that Your followers also may see Your works which You do! they scoffed. 7:4 For no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, reveal Yourself to the world.” 7:5 For even His brothers did not believe in Him. [Psalms 69: 8-9]
7:6 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them, “My season [Romans 5: 6, 3: 25-26] has not yet come, but your time is always ready. 7:7 The world is unable to hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil. 7:8 You go up to the festival. I am not yet going up to this festival, because My time has not yet fully come/been filled.” [Festival of Sukkot - one of the commanded festivals - 7 day + 1 (the Last Great Day] --- see Luke 9:32-33 - Sukkot time??]
7:9 Having said these things to them, He stayed in Galiyl. 7:10 But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
This highly prophetic story gives us the timing of His second coming. The “Miqdash” is the body of Messiah (1 Cor. 3:16/Ephesians 2:20-22/1 Kepha 2:5). Though He “comes” prior to his Miqdash appearance, it remains “secret” until the middle of the feast of Tabernacles. This prophesies, I believe, of the fact that Yahuwshuwah Messiah will “come” at or before the beginning of Tabernacles, but will not be in contact with His disciples (the true Miqdash) until the middle of the feast. [Resurrection of righteous dead is on Yom Teruah - Deliverance of living ones on Yom Kippur and end of the 6000 yrs. ---- so Sukkot is in Millennial times as is the 1335 days of Dan. 12 - thus this view could be correct. w.c.s.]
In the story in Yahuwchanan 7, He had to separate Himself from the disciples for a time in order to rejoin the Head with the Body in the midst of the feast. So also in the second coming of Messiah, the Head cannot join the Body until the whole Body has been made “one flesh” on the first of Tabernacles. He must join with them before the eighth day when the complete Body must be presented to the Father. Hence, He comes in the midst of the feast.
The Eighth Day of Tabernacles
The “new man” is not allowed to be presented to the Father until the eighth day. This law is found in Exodus 22:29 and 30, "You shall not delay the offering from your harvest and your vintage. The first-born of your sons you shall give to Me. You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me"
The “birth” of this corporate Son occurs on the first day of Tabernacles. The presentation of this corporate Son occurs on the eighth day, according to the law (above). Any and all presentation of sons to the Father can only occur on an eighth day. After His birth, Yahuwshuwah was presented to the Miqdash on the eighth day (Luke 2:21). After His resurrection-birth, Yahuwshuwah had to present Himself to the Father on the day after the Sabbath (Lev. 23:11), It was the eighth day. … the law of circumcision points to the time when YaHuWaH will circumcise the heart of all His people to love and obey Him on the "eighth day" when He is All in all for eternity…. the complete fulfillment of the "eighth day prophecy".
Likewise, insofar as the corporate Son is concerned, the presentation must occur on the eighth day of Tabernacles, and this is why there are eight days associated with Tabernacles (Lev. 23:39). So also in the story in Yahuwchanan 7:37-39, Yahuwshuwah prophesied of the tifereth-fire of Yahuwah coming on the eighth day of Tabernacles. "37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Yahuwshuwah stood and cried out, saying, “If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke of the Ruwach, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Ruwach was not yet given, because Yahuwshua was not yet esteemed.
Lev. 8:35 "At the doorway of the tent of meeting, moreover, you shall remain day and night for seven days, and keep the charge of Aluhym, that you may not die, for so I have been commanded. 36 Thus Aharon and his sons did all the things which Aluhym had commanded through Moshah. 1 Now it came about on the eighth day that Moshah called Aharon and his sons and the elders of Ysra'al.
So the priests in that day were consecrated for a full seven days and then emerged from the tabernacle on the eighth day. The main event of the eighth day is expressed in Lev. 9:4, “for today Aluhym shall appear [manifest Himself] to you.” Verse 6 adds to this revelation, saying, “the esteem of Aluhym may appear to you.” The actual fulfillment is found in verse 24, --Then fire came out from before Aluhym and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of the fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
Thus, the fire (splendor) of Aluhym was manifested to all of the people, and “all the people saw it.” This prophesies of the results of the manifestation of the Sons of Yahuwah after their presentation on the eighth day. For this reason, I believe that the priests of Yahuwah must be consecrated to Yahuwah for a full seven days before being manifested on the eighth day. Hence, Yahuwshuwah's prophecy in Yahuchanan 7:37-39 on the last great day of the feast, prophesying of the outpouring of the Ruwach, applies to the eighth day of Tabernacles…. and in its fulness to the New Heavens and Earth on the "eighth day".
7:11 The Yahuwdiym therefore sought Him at the feast, and said, “Where is He?” 7:12 There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning Him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others said, “Not so, but He leads the multitude astray.” 7:13 Yet no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Yahuwdiym. 7:14 But when it was now the midst of the feast, YaHuWSHuWaH went up into the Miqdash and taught. 7:15 The Yahuwdiym therefore marveled, saying, “How does this One understand the Scriptures, having never been educated?”
7:16 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore answered them, “My teaching is not Mine, but His Who sent Me.
(This is said 7 times in Yahuwchanan : 3:34, 7:16, 8:28, 8:40, 12:49, 14:24, 17:8) (Deut. 18:18 I shall raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I shall put My Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. 18:19 It shall happen, that whoever shall not listen to My Words which He shall speak in My Name, I shall require it of him.) and [Shemoth/Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I send My Messenger before you, to guard you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 23:21 Pay attention to Him, and listen to His voice. Do not provoke Him, for My Name is in Him.
YashaYahuw 50:4 The Sovereign YaHuWaH has given Me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with Words him who is weary: He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as those who are taught.
7:17 If anyone desires to do His will, He shall know about the teaching, whether it is from YaHuWaH, or if I am speaking from Myself. 7:18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own esteem, but He who seeks the esteem of Him Who sent Him is True, and no unrighteousness is in Him. 7:19 did not Moshah give you the Torah, and yet none of you keeps the Torah? Why do you seek to murder Me?”
7:20 The multitude answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to murder You?”
7:21 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “I did one work, and you all marvel because of it. 7:22 Moshah has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moshah, but of the fathers), and on the Shabbath you circumcise a boy. 7:23 If a boy receives circumcision on the Shabbath, that the Torah of Moshah may not be broken, are you angry with Me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Shabbath? (pg. 256 AENT against lunar Shabbath - "it was invented by a 'luna-tic'") 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
[What that means is this: The miracle, by direct mention, happened on Shabbat, and that Shabbat was the FOURTH DAY OF TABERNACLES - 19th of Tishri. A Shabbat on the 19th day of the month disproves Lunar Shabbat, which must happen on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days. This one instance, from Y'shua’s own mouth, puts "their" entire theory in jeopardy!]
7:25 Therefore some of them of Yahrushalum said, “Isn’t this One He, Whom they seek to kill? 7:26 Behold, He speaks openly, and they say nothing to Him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Anointed? 7:27 However we know where this One comes from, but when the Anointed comes, no one will know where He comes from.”
7:28 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore cried out in the Miqdash, teaching and saying, “You both discern Me, and discern where I am from, yet I have not come forth of My own volition, rather He Who sent Me is True, Whom you do not acknowledge. 7:29 But I do acknowledge Him, because I AM from His Presence, and He sent Me forth.” [One of the days of Sukkot ]
7:30 They sought therefore to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. 7:31 But of the multitude, many put their trust in Him. Yet they said, “When the Anointed comes, He will not do more signs than those which this Man has done, shall He?” 7:32 The Parash heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning Him, and the chief priests and the Parash sent officers to arrest Him.
7:33 Then YaHuWSHuWaH said, “I shall be with you a little while longer, then I go to Him Who sent Me. 7:34 You shall seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you are unable to come.”
Huwshua 5:15 I will go and return to My place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek My face. In their affliction* they will seek Me early.” (* The great Tribulation) : 6:2 After two days He will revive us. On the third day He will raise us up, and we will live before Him. [Ysra'al, like YaHuWSHuWaH will be raised to life after "3 days".]
7:35 The Yahuwdiym therefore said among themselves, “Where shall this Man go that we will not find Him? Will He go to the Diaspora among the Hellen, and teach the Hellen? 7:36 What is this word that He said, ‘You shall seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you are unable to come’?”
7:37 Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, {called Hoshana Raba, meaning "Save us Great One"}(Shmini Atzeret/late fall/ lunar month 7) YaHuWSHuWaH stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! [During the Water Pouring Ceremony - For this day was the time each year when the Kohen on the Mikdash grounds symbolically poured water out of a jar onto the ground and mixed it with wine.]
7:38 He who trusts in Me, as the Scripture has said, from within him shall flow rivers of living water. i.e. flowing water” [YirmeYahuw 2:12-13;YashaYahuw 44:3, 55:1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! & 58:11] (Link to Rev. 22:17) 7:39 But He said this about the Ruach, which those believing in Him were to receive. For Ruwach HaQadosh was not yet given, because YaHuWSHuWaH wasn’t yet esteemed.
7:40 Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, “This is truly the Prophet, [which we are to remember!]” 7:41 Others said, “This is the Anointed.” But some said, “What? Does the Anointed come out of Galiyl? 7:42 has not the Scripture said that the Anointed comes of the seed of Dawiyd, and from Bayith Lechem, the village where Dawiyd was?” (This was a prophecy fulfilled some 30 years before this - yet unknown to them - prophetic?)
7:43 So there arose a division in the multitude because of Him. 7:44 Some of them would have arrested Him, but no one laid hands on Him. 7:45 The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Parash, and they said to them, “Why did not you bring Him?”
7:46 The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man!”
7:47 The Parash therefore answered them, “You aren’t also led astray, are you? 7:48 Have any of the rulers believed in Him, or of the Parash? 7:49 But this multitude that does not know the Torah is accursed.”
7:50 Nikodemos (he who came to Him by night, being one of them) said to them, 7:51 “Does our Torah judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?”
7:52 They answered him, “Are you also from Galiyl? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galiyl.” [Isaiah 9:1-3, Matt. 4:13-16]
7:53 Everyone went to his own house [Sukkot was over], 8:1 but YaHuWSHuWaH went to the Mount of Olives.
8:2 Now very early in the morning, He came again into the Mikdash, and all the people came to Him. He sat down, and taught them. 8:3 The scribes and the Parash brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst of them, 8:4 they said to Him, “Rabbi, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act. 8:5 Now in our Torah, Moshah commanded us to stone such. What then do You say about her?” 8:6 They said this testing Him, that they might have something to accuse Him of.
But YaHuWSHuWaH stooped down, and wrote on the ground with His finger. 8:7 But when they continued asking Him, He looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone on her.” [Deut. 17:7]
8:8 Again He stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground.
(YirmeYahuw 17:13 O YaHuWaH, Purification Pool of Ysra'al, any who forsake You shall be ashamed; those who turn away from Me shall be inscribed in the earth, because they have forsaken YaHuWaH, the Source of living waters. .... Chp. 7:38)
8:9 They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. YaHuWSHuWaH was left alone with the woman where she was, in the midst [of the people]. 8:10 YaHuWSHuWaH, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”
8:11 She said, “No one, Master.”
YaHuWSHuWaH said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.” (There must be two or three witnesses of the crime present before punishment can be given.)
8:12 Again, therefore, YaHuWSHuWaH spoke to them [all the people], saying, “I AM the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the Light of life.”
[1:3 Aluhym said, “Let there be Light,” and Light came to be. 1:4 Aluhym saw the Light, and saw that it was good.] [2 Cor 4:6 For Aluhym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHuWaH the Anointed.][ YashaYahuw 60:1 “Arise, shine; for your Light is come, and the Esteem of YaHuWaH is risen on you. ] Bereshiyth 1:14 Aluhym said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of heavens to divide the day from the night; .... and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. Aluhym saw that it was good. 1:19 There was evening [dusk] and there was morning [dawn], a fourth day. {YaHuWSHuWaH was sent on the "4th day" - midst of the "week" - the same day the "lights" of the heavens were created}
8:13 The Parash therefore said to him, “You bear witness about Yourself. Your witness is not true.”
8:14 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Even if I testify about Myself, My testimony is true, for I discern where I came from, and where I am going; but you do not discern where I came from, or where I am going. 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one. 8:16 Even if I do judge, My judgment is true, for I AM not alone, but I AM with the Father Who sent Me. 8:17 It’s also written in your Torah that the testimony of two people is valid. 8:18 I AM One Who testifies about Myself, and the Father Who sent Me testifies about Me.”
8:19 They said therefore to Him, “Where is Your Father?”
YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “You neither recognize Me, nor My Father. If you would have acknowledged Me, you would have recognized My Father also.” 8:20 YaHuWSHuWaH spoke these words in the treasury, as He taught in the Miqdash. Yet no one arrested Him, because His hour had not yet come. 8:21 YaHuWSHuWaH said therefore again to them, “I AM going away, and you shall seek Me, and you shall die in your sins. Where I go, you are unable to come.”
8:22 The Yahuwdiym therefore said, “Will He kill Himself, that He says, ‘Where I am going, you are unable to come?’”
8:23 He said to them, “You are from beneath. I AM from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world. 8:24 I said therefore to you that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM HE, (Ena-na ... I AM) you shall die in your sins.”
[YashaYahuw 43:10-13 “You are My witnesses,” says YaHuWaH “With My Servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I AM HE (ani huw) Before Me there was no Aluhym formed, neither shall there be after Me. 43:11 I, MYSELF AM YaHuWaH; and besides Me there is no Savior!]
[And Aluhym said to Moshah, “’É-hyéh 'ashér ’é-hyéh [I have always been That Which I have always been ... or "I will be whatever I will be."]”, and He said: “This you shall say to the Sons of Ysra'al: ’É-hyéh, He sent me to you.” - also translated as "Ahayah asher ahayah".
8:25 They said therefore to Him, “Who are You?”
YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “ Altogether, that which I even say to you! 8:26 I have many things to speak and to say and to judge concerning you. However He Who sent Me is True; and the things which I heard from Him, these I say to the world.”
(Deut. 18:18-19) What things they say are good. A Predicator I will raise from them, from among their brothers, like you; and I will put My Words in His mouth and He will speak to them all that I command Him; and it shall come to pass that the man who does not listen to My Words which He speaks in My name, I, I will call to account from being with him.] (Pure Scriptures)
8:27 They did not understand that He spoke to them about the Father. 8:28 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Adam, then you shall know that I AM HE, and I do nothing of Myself, but as My Father taught Me, I say these things. (Deut. 18:18-19) 8:29 He Who sent Me is with Me. My Father has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.”
[YashaYahuw 41:4 - "I, YaHuWaH, am the First, and even the Last, I AM HE.” … 43:11- "and apart from Me there is no Savior."]
8:30 As He spoke these things, many believed in Him. 8:31 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to those Yahuwdiym who had believed Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly My taught ones. 8:32 You shall acknowledge the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.”
8:33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do You say, ‘You shall be made free?’”
8:34 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Amein, amein, I tell you, 'Whoever commits sin is the bondservant of sin. 8:35 A bondservant of sin does not live in the house forever; but the Son abides to the Ages. 8:36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. 8:37 I know that you are Abraham’s seed, yet you seek to kill Me, because My Word finds no place in you. 8:38 I say the things which I have seen with My Father ;(Deut. 18:18-19) and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”
8:39 They answered Him, “Our father is Abraham.”
YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. 8:40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man Who has told you the Truth, which I heard from YaHuWaH. (Deut. 18:18-19) Abraham did not do this. 8:41 You do the works of your father.”
They said to Him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, Aluah.”
8:42 Therefore YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “If Aluah were your Father, you would love Me, for I came out and have come from Aluah. For I have not come of Myself, but He sent Me forth. 8:43 Why do not you understand My speech? Because you are incapable of hearing My word! 8:44 You-all are of (generation/offspring) your father , the Accuser, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the Truth, because there is no Truth in him. When he speaks the Lie, he speaks of his own kind/son; for he is a liar, and its father. 8:45 But because I tell the Truth, you do not believe Me. 8:46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? If I tell the Truth, why do you not believe Me? 8:47 He who is of Aluah hears the Words of YaHuWaH. For this cause you do not hear, because you are not of Aluah!”
8:48 Then the Yahuwdiym answered Him, “do not we say well that You are a Shomerowniy, and have a demon?”
8:49 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “I do not have a demon, but I value My Father, yet you insult Me. 8:50 But I do not seek My own esteem. There is one who seeks it and condemns [The Lie, the son of Satan]. 8:51 Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps My Word (Watches over /Nurtures), he shall never experience death for the ages.”
8:52 Then the Yahuwdiym said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If a man keeps My Word, he shall never taste death of the ages.’ 8:53 Are You greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”
8:54 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “If I esteem Myself, My esteem is nothing. It is My Father Who esteems Me, of Whom you say that He is our Aluah. 8:55 You have not known Him, but I know Him. If I said, ‘I do not know Him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know Him, and keep His Word. 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My Day. He saw it, (prophetically) and was glad.”
[The `Ibríy (Hebrew) makes these future tense. i.e., (Your father Abraham longed that he might see My Day and he shall see it and he shall rejoice) Establishment translations suggest his Day is past.] Pure Scrip.
8:57 The Yahuwdiym therefore said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
8:58 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I WAS.”
[the actual Aramaic phrase is "d'aidala nehwa Awraham aina ayti" -- ayti = was] Rev. 1:4 Favour to you and shalom, from Him [the Father], Who is and Who was and Who is coming [- Asher Hu-Howeh, Hayah, waBah -
8:59 Therefore they took up stones to throw at Him, but YaHuWSHuWaH was hidden, and went out of the Mikdash, having gone through the midst of them, and so passed by.
9:1 As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. 9:2 His taught ones asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
9:3 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; instead, [he was born blind] in order that the works of YaHuWaH might be manifested in him. 9:4 I must work the works of Him Who sent Me, while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work. 9:5 While I AM in the world, I AM the Light of the world.” 9:6 When He had said this, He spat on the ground, made clay with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the clay, (both of these acts were forbidden in the Babylonian Talmud - oral traditions) 9:7 and said to him, “Go, wash/mikbah (immerse) in the pool of Shalach” (which means “Sent forth”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing. 9:8 The neighbors therefore, and those who saw that he was blind before, said, “Isn’t this he who sat and begged?” 9:9 Others were saying, “It is he.” Still others were saying, “He looks like him.”
He said, “It is I.” 9:10 They therefore were asking him, “How were your eyes opened?”
9:11 He answered, “A man called YaHuWSHuWaH made clay, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Shalach, and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”
9:12 Then they asked him, “Where is He?”
He said, “I do not know.”
9:13 They brought him who had been blind to the Parash. 9:14 Now it was a Shabbath when YaHuWSHuWaH made the clay and opened his eyes. 9:15 Again therefore the Parash also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”
9:16 Some therefore of the Parash said, “This Man is not from Aluhym, because He does not keep the Shabbath, and He formed clay!” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” There was division among them. 9:17 Therefore they asked the blind man again, “What do you say about Him, because He opened your eyes?”
He said, “He is a prophet.”
9:18 The Yahuwdiym therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight, 9:19 and asked them, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
9:20 His parents answered them, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 9:21 but how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age. Ask him. He shall speak for himself.” 9:22 His parents said these things because they feared the Yahuwdiym; for the Yahuwdiym had already agreed that if any man would confess Him as Anointed, he would be put out of the synagogue [excommunicated]. 9:23 Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”
9:24 So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give praise to Aluhym. We know that this Man is a sinner.”
9:25 He therefore answered, “I do not know if He is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
9:26 They said to him again, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?”
9:27 He answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You do not also want to become His taught ones, do you?”
9:28 They insulted him and said, “You are His follower, but we are taught ones of Moshah. 9:29 We know that Aluhym has spoken to Moshah. But as for this Man, we do not know where He comes from.”
9:30 The man answered them, “How amazing! You do not know where He comes from, yet He opened my eyes! 9:31 We know that Aluhym does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of Aluhym, and does His will, He listens to him. [Psalm 66:18, Proverbs 15:29; 28:9] 9:32 Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind. 9:33 If this Man were not from Aluhym, He could do nothing.” [He literally had no eyes in the sockets !!]
9:34 They answered him, “You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” They threw him out.
9:35 YaHuWSHuWaH heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you put your trust in the Son of YaHuWaH?”
9:36 He answered, “Who is He, Master, that I may believe in Him?”
9:37 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “You have both seen Him, and it is He Who speaks with you.”
9:38 He said, “O my Master, I believe!” and he bowed before Him. [prostrate oneself before]
9:39 YaHuWSHuWaH said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who do not see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”
9:40 Those of the Parash who were with Him heard these things, and said to Him, “Are we also blind?”
9:41 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We do see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
10:1 “Most certainly, I tell you, one who does not enter by the Door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 10:2 But one who enters in by the Door is the shepherd of the sheep. 10:3 The Door Keeper opens the gate for Him, and the sheep listen to His voice. [Logically this Door Keeper is the Father, Who makes it possible for the sheep to hear YaHuWSHuWaH's voice, and grants favor unto persuasion - no one comes to Him unless it is given to them by the Father! ]
He calls His own sheep by their names, and leads them out. 10:4 Whenever He brings out His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him, for they recognize His Voice. 10:5 They shall by no means follow a stranger, but shall flee from him; for they do not recognize the voice of strangers.” 10:6 YaHuWSHuWaH spoke this parable to them, but they did not understand what He was telling them.
10:7 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them again, “Most certainly, I tell you, I AM the Door (dalet) of the flocks. 10:8 All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 10:9 I AM the Door. (dalet) If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. 10:10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. 10:11 I AM the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. 10:12 He who is a hired hand, and not even a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, abandons the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them. 10:13 The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and does not care about the sheep [Yirm. 23:1-2; 50:6-7 and all of Yehezqel 34]. 10:14 I AM the good Shepherd. I recognize My own, and I am acknowledged by My own; 10:15 even as the Father acknowledges Me, and I do acknowledge the Father. I lay down My life for the sheep. 10:16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. [YashaYahuw 56:8;Yehezqel 34] I must bring them also, and they shall heed My voice, and there shall be one flock with One Shepherd. 10:17 Therefore the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, (YashaYahuw 53:7-8) that I may take it again. 10:18 No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down by Myself. I have Power to lay it down, and I have Power to take it again. I received this Commandment from My Father.”
10:19 Therefore a division arose again among the Yahuwdiym because of these words. 10:20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is insane! Why do you listen to Him?” 10:21 Others said, “These are not the sayings of one possessed by a demon. It isn’t possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?”
10:22 It was the Festival of Hanukkah (Rededication - sometime in month 12. ) at Yahrushalum. 10:23 It was winter, and YaHuWSHuWaH was walking in the Miqdash, in Shelomoh’s porch. 10:24 The Yahuwdiym therefore encircled Him and said to Him, “How long shall you hold us in suspense? If you are the Anointed, tell us plainly.”
10:25 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s Name, these testify about Me. 10:26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I told you. 10:27 My sheep heed My Voice (obey Me), and I acknowledge them, and they follow Me. 10:28 I give age-abiding life to them. They shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. 10:29 My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 10:30 I and My Father are ONE.” (Echad)
[YashaYahuw 43:13 Yes, since the day was I AM HE; and there is no one who snatches out of My Hand. ] [YashaYahuw 44:6 Thus says YaHuWaH, Sovereign of Ysra'al (the Father), AND His Kinsman Redeemer, YaHuWaH of Hosts (the Son): "I AM ALEPH wTAW (the Beginning and Ending), besides Me there is no Aluhym. ..... 10:31 Therefore the Yahuwdiym took up stones again to stone Him. 10:32 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “I have shown you many good works from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”
10:33 The Yahuwdiym answered him, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy: because You, being a man, make Yourself Aluhym.”
10:34 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Isn’t it written in your Torah, ‘I said, you are Aluhym?’

Alyown (Most High)’ but you will die like a human and like another of the rulers you will fall!” [A psalm of Asaph] See also Psalms 97: 7, and YashaYahuw 41: 23.
10:35 If He called them Aluhym, to whom the Word [Miltha] of YaHuWaH came - and the Scripture can not be broken - 10:36 do you say of Him Whom the Father Set-apart and sent forth into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of Aluah (the Mighty One)?’ 10:37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me. 10:38 But if I do them, though you do not believe Me {because of the way I look to you}, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I am in My Father.” (YashaYahuw 53: For He grew up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor comeliness. When we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. )
YashaYahuw 43:10 “You are My witnesses,” says YaHuWaH, “With My Servant Whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I AM HE (YAHUW). Before Me there was no Aluhym formed, neither shall there be after Me. 43:11 I, even I, AM YaHuWaH; and apart from Me there is no Savior. [Mashiyach]
10:39 They sought again to seize Him, and He went out of their hand. 10:40 He went away again beyond the Yarden into the place where Yahuwchanan was immersing at first, and there He stayed. 10:41 Many came to Him. They said, “Yahuwchanan indeed did no miracle, but everything that Yahuwchanan said about this Man is true.” 10:42 Many believed on Him there.
[The resurrection of Lazarus in Yahuwchanan 11 took place over six days.
11:1 Now a certain man was sick, El'azar from Bayith Any, of the village of Miryam and her sister, Marthah. 11:2 It was that Miryam who had anointed the feet of YaHuWSHuWaH with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair [Luke 7: 37], whose brother, El'azar, was sick. 11:3 The sisters therefore sent to Him, saying, “Master, behold, he for whom You have great affection is sick.” 11:4 But when YaHuWSHuWaH heard it, He said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the esteem of YaHuWaH, that the Son of Aluah may be esteemed through it.” 11:5 Now YaHuWSHuWaH loved Marthah, and her sister, and El'azar. 11:6 When therefore He heard that he was sick, He stayed two days in the place where He was.
[Stayed: as He has remained at the Father's right-hand-side for two "days" (2,000 years) before returning to raise us from the dead!]
11:7 Then after this He said to the taught ones, “Let’s go into Yahuwdah again.”
11:8 The taught ones told Him, “Rabbi, the Yahuwdiym were just trying to stone You, and are You going there again?”
11:9 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “Aren’t there twelve hours in a day? If a man walks in the daytime, he does not stumble, because he sees the Light of this world. 11:10 But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the Light isn’t in him.” 11:11 He said these things, and after that, He said to them, “Our friend, El'azar, sleeps (in death), but I am going so that I may awake him (Literally - I will resurrect him).”
11:12 The taught ones therefore said, “Master, if he has fallen asleep, he shall recover.”
11:13 Now YaHuWSHuWaH had spoken of his death, but they thought that He spoke of taking rest in sleep. 11:14 So YaHuWSHuWaH said plainly to them, “El'azar is dead. 11:15 I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let’s go to him.”
11:16 Ta'owm therefore, who is called Twin, said to His fellow taught ones, “Let’s go also, that we may die with Him.”
11:17 So when YaHuWSHuWaH came, He found that he had been in the tomb four days already. [For the previous 4,000 yrs. man had been in the tomb awaiting Yahuwshuwah's victory over death!] 11:18 Now Bayith Any was near Yahrushalum, about 1.7 miles away. 11:19 Many of the Yahuwdiym had joined the women around Marthah and Miryam, to console them concerning their brother. 11:20 Then when Marthah heard that YaHuWSHuWaH was coming, she went and met Him, but Miryam stayed in the house. 11:21 Therefore Marthah said to YaHuWSHuWaH, “Master, if You would have been here, my brother would not have died. 11:22 Even now I know that, whatever You ask of Aluhym, YaHuWaH shall give You.” 11:23 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “Your brother shall rise again.”
11:24 Marthah said to Him, “I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection on the Last Day.”
11:25 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “I AM the (1) Resurrection and (2) the life. (1) He who puts his trust in Me shall still live, even if he dies. 11:26 (2) And everyone that is living and believing in Me shall never die at all. Do you believe this?”
(Ena-na nukhama w'khaya - one of the most beautiful and melodious phrase is the Aramic NT )(‘anokiy hat’qumah w’hachayiym … Hebrew)
Now normally when an Aramaic speaker wished to refer to himself he would simply say ena (I). However, when it came to addressing the speech of the Almighty doing the same thing, the phrase "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" became Ena-na (I AM). Therefore, by YaHuWSHuWaH saying Ena-na rather than the conventional truncated "I", He was deliberately claiming for Himself a title exclusive to YaHuWaH. AENT
11:27 She said to Him, “Yes, Master. I have come to believe that You are the Anointed, YaHuWaH's Son, He Who comes into the world.”
11:28 When she had said this, she went away, and called Miryam, her sister, secretly, saying, “The Rabbi is here, and is calling you.”
11:29 When she heard this, she arose quickly, and went to Him. 11:30 Now YaHuWSHuWaH had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Marthah met Him. 11:31 Then the Yahuwdiym who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Miryam, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.” 11:32 Therefore when Miryam came to where YaHuWSHuWaH was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Master, if You would have been here, my brother would not have died.”
11:33 When YaHuWSHuWaH therefore saw her weeping, and the Yahuwdiym weeping who came with her, He groaned in the Ruwach, and was troubled, 11:34 and said, “Where have you laid him?”
They told Him, “Master, come and see.”
11:35 YaHuWSHuWaH wept.
11:36 The Yahuwdiym therefore said, “See how much affection He had for him!” 11:37 Some of them said, “Couldn’t this Man, Who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”
11:38 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore, again groaning within Himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it. 11:39 YaHuWSHuWaH said, “Take away the stone.” Marthah, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Master, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” (even as man has been dead for 4000 years and indeed, does stink)
11:40 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “did not I tell you that if you believed, you would see the Esteem of YaHuWaH?”
11:41 So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. YaHuWSHuWaH lifted up His eyes, and said, “Father, I thank You that You listened to Me. 11:42 I know that You always listen to Me, but because of the multitude that stands around I said this, that they may persuaded that You did send Me forth.” 11:43 When He had said this, He cried with a loud voice, “El'azar, come out here!” [It has been noted that if He had not specified El’azar, all the dead in the world would have risen at this time!]
11:44 He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth.
YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “Free him, and let him go.”
11:45 Therefore many of the Yahuwdiym, who came to Miryam and saw what YaHuWSHuWaH did, believed on Him. 11:46 But some of them went away to the Parash, and told them everything that YaHuWSHuWaH had done. [Luke 16: 31] 11:47 The chief priests therefore and the Parash gathered a council, and said, “What will we do? For this Man does many signs. 11:48 If we leave Him alone like this, everyone shall believe in Him, and the Rhomaios shall come and take away both our Land and our people.”
11:49 But a certain one of them, Kaiaphas being high priest that year, said to them, “do not you perceive anything? 11:50 Nor do you consider that it is better for us that one Man should die for the people so that the whole people should not perish?” 11:51 Now he did not say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that YaHuWSHuWaH would die for the people, 11:52 and not for the people only, but that He might also gather together into one the children of YaHuWaH who have been scattered abroad. (Ysra'al) 11:53 So from that day forward they took counsel that they might put Him to death. 11:54 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore walked no more openly among the Yahuwdiym, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephrayim. He stayed there with His taught ones.
11:55 Now the Pesach (Exemption) of the Yahuwdiym was at hand [3rd and last Pesach of His ministry]. Many went up from the country to Yahrushalum before the Pesach, to purify themselves [ritual immersions]. 11:56 Then they sought for YaHuWSHuWaH and spoke one with another, as they stood in the Miqdash, “What do you think—that He isn’t coming to the Festival at all [ULB]?” 11:57 Now the chief priests and the Parash had commanded that if anyone knew where He was, he should report it, that they might seize Him.
12:1 Then six days before the Pesach, YaHuWSHuWaH came to Bayith Any [House of Figs], where El'azar was, who had been dead, whom He raised from the dead. 12:2 So they made Him a supper there. Marthah served, while El'azar was one of those who reclined at the table with Him. 12:3 Miryam, therefore, took a pound of ointment of pistachio, very precious, and anointed the head of YaHuWSHuWaH, [MattithYahuw 26:7, Marq 14:3] and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment. 12:4 Then Yehudah Iscariot, Shim'own’s son, one of His taught ones, who was about to deliver Him up, said, 12:5 “Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?” 12:6 Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it. 12:7 But YaHuWSHuWaH said, “Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of My burial. 12:8 For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”
12:9 A large crowd therefore of the Yahuwdiym learned that He was there, and they came, not for YaHuWSHuWaH’s sake only, but that they might see El'azar also, whom He had raised from the dead. 12:10 But the chief priests conspired to put El'azar to death also, 12:11 because many of the Yahuwdiym on account of him, believed in YaHuWSHuWaH.
12:12 On the next day [5 days before the Pesach] a great crowd who had come to the Festival, when they heard that YaHuWSHuWaH was coming to Yahrushalum, 12:13 took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and were screaming: “Hoshia'na! Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of YaHuWaH, the Sovereign of Ysra'al!
[Psalm 118:26 the Sovereign of Ysra'al!”][ “’Ânnâ´’ (Oh, now) YaHuWaH! Howshíy`â´h nnâ´! (Deliver us now!) ’Ânnâ´’ YaHuWaH! Cause us to break out now! Bâ´ruwkh há-bâ b-shëm YaHuWaH! (Blessed is the One coming by the Name of YaHuWaH!) … We, from the house of YaHuWaH, bless You. YaHuWaH is the Mighty One, and He shined light on us; join the festal procession with boughs, up to the horns of the altar! (Psalms 118: 25-27)] Mélekh Ysra'al! (The King of Ysra'al!)” 'Pure Scriptures]
12:14 YaHuWSHuWaH, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written, 12:15 “do not be afraid, daughter of Tsiyown. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
[ZecharYahuw 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, Daughter of Tsiyown! Shout, Daughter of Yahrushalum! Here is your King! He comes to you, righteous and having deliverance; He is lowly, and mounted upon a donkey, even upon a colt, a son of beasts of burden.]
12:16 His taught ones did not understand these things at first, but when YaHuWSHuWaH was esteemed, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and that they had done these things to Him. 12:17 The multitude therefore that was with Him when he called El'azar out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was testifying about it. 12:18 For this cause also the multitude went and met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign. 12:19 The Parash therefore said among themselves, “See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him.”
12:20 Now there were certain Hellen among those that went up to worship at the Festival. 12:21 These, therefore, came to Philippos, who was from Bayith Tsayad of Galiyl, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we want to see YaHuWSHuWaH.” 12:22 Philippos came and told Andreas, and in turn, Andreas came with Philippos, and they told YaHuWSHuWaH. 12:23 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “The time has come for the Son of Adam to be esteemed. 12:24 Most certainly I tell you, unless a Kernel of Wheat (Spica) falls into the earth and dies, It remains by Itself alone. But If it dies, It bears much fruit. 12:25 He who loves his life shall lose it. He who hates his life in this world shall keep it to endless life. 12:26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me. Where I am, there shall My servant also be. If anyone serves Me, the Father shall esteem him.
12:27 “Now My soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this time?’ But for this cause I came to this time. 12:28 Father, magnify Your Name!”
Then there came a Voice from the One of the heavens, saying: “I have both magnified it, and shall magnify it again.”
12:29 The multitude therefore, who stood by and heard it, said that it had thundered. Others said, “An messenger has spoken to Him.”
12:30 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “This Voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes. 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world shall be cast out.
12:32 And I, if I AM lifted up from the earth, shall draw (drag) all to Myself.” (to drag means to cause one to do something against his will - like being drug into court)
12:33 This He said, signifying by what kind of death He should die. 12:34 The multitude answered Him, “We have heard out of the Torah that the Mashiyach abides to the Ages. [YeshaYahuw 9:7; Dani'el 2:44 (but see also YeshaYahuw 53:8)] How do you say, ‘The Son of Adam must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of Adam?”
12:35 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them, “Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness does not overtake you. He who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. 12:36 While you have the Light, put your trust in the Light, that you may become children of Light.” YaHuWSHuWaH said these things, and He departed and hid Himself from them.
YashaYahuw 54:7 “For an insignificantly short moment have I forsaken you; but with intense compassion shall I gather you back out. [Even 2,730 years (the 390 years of Y’chezq’el 4 multiplied seven times, Lev. 26:28) is a mere drop in the bucket compared to eternity! ] 54:8 In overflowing wrath I caused My face to be hidden from you for a moment; but with loving kindness that last forever shall I love you so deeply,” says YaHuWaH your Kinsman Redeemer. ... YashaYahuw 8:17 I shall wait for YaHuWaH, Who hides His face from the House of Ya'aqob, and I shall look for Him. .... 45:15 Most certainly you are an Aluhym Who conceals Yourself, O Aluhym of Ysra'al, the Savior.’”
12:37 But though He had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in Him, 12:38 that the word of YashaYahuw the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke,“ YaHuWaH who has believed our report? To whom has the Sowing Arm of YaHuWaH been revealed?” --YashaYahuw 53:1
12:39 For this cause they couldn’t believe, for YashaYahuw said again:
12:40 “For the heart of this people has grown thick, and they do hardly hear with the ears, and they have shut their eyes, lest they should see with their eyes, and with their ears they should hear, and their heart should understand, and they should return to Me and I should heal them.” YashaYahuw 6: 10
12:41 YashaYahuw said these things when he saw His Splendor, and spoke of Him. YashaYahuw 6:1 12:42 Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Parash they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue, 12:43 for they loved men’s praise more than YaHuWaH’s praise.
12:44 YaHuWSHuWaH cried out and said, “Whoever puts his trust on Me, puts his trust not in Me, but on Him Who sent Me! 12:45 He who discerns Me discerns Him Who sent Me! 12:46 I have come as a Light into the world, that whoever puts his trust in Me may not remain in the darkness.
[2 Cor. 4:6 For Aluhym, Who said, "Let there be Light in the darkness," has made us understand that this Light is the Brightness of the Splendor of YaHuWaH that is seen in the Face of YaHuWSHuWaH the Anointed.]
12:47 If anyone listens to My sayings, and does not trust, I do not judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 12:48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has that which judges him. The Word that I spoke shall judge him in the last Day. 12:49 For I spoke not from Myself, but the Father Who sent Me, He commanded Me what to say and how I should say it. 12:50 I know that His Command leads to endless life (all of Torah). The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to Me, so I exactly speak it.”
"For I did not speak of My Own accord, but the Father Who sent Me commanded (poqadona) Me what to say and how to say it. I know that His command (poqadona) leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told Me to say." Yahuwchanan 12:49-50 Aramaic.
(Deut. 18:18-19) YirmeYahuw 36:17 They asked Baruwk, saying, Tell us now, How did you write all these words? From his mouth? 36:18 Then Baruwk answered them, He pronounced all these words to me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.
13:1 Now before the Festival of the Pesach, YaHuWSHuWaH, knowing that His time had come that He would depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. 13:2 During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Yehudah Iscariot, Simon’s son, to hand Him over, 13:3 YaHuWSHuWaH, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come out and from YaHuWaH, and was going towards YaHuWaH, 13:4 arose from supper, and laid aside His outer garments. He took a towel, and wrapped a towel around His waist. 13:5 Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the taught ones’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around Him. 13:6 Then He came to Shim'own Kepha who said to Him, “Master, do You wash my feet?”
13:7 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “You do not know what I am doing now, but you shall understand later.”
13:8 Kepha said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” (We are "washed" by the Word)
13:9 Shim'own Kepha said to Him, “Master, not my feet only, but also my hands and even my head!”
13:10 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “He who has been bathed (skha -to fully immerse oneself - a Pesach command) has no need to wash other than the feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 13:11 For He knew him who would hand Him over, therefore He said, “You are not all clean.” 13:12 So when He had washed their feet, put His outer garment back on, and returned again to the table, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13:13 You call Me, ‘Rabbi’ and ‘Master.’ You say so correctly, for so I AM. 13:14 If I then, the Master and the Rabbi, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 13:15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. 13:16 Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his Master, neither One Who is sent greater than He Who sent Him. 13:17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 13:18 I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen. But that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’ 13:19 From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I AM HE.
YashaYahuw 42:8 “I AM YaHuWaH (I AM HE who EXISTS). That is My Name. I shall not give My Qabowd to another, nor My praise to engraved images. 42:9 Behold, the former predictions have happened, and I am announcing new things; I tell you about them before they come up.”
13:20 Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives Me; and he who receives Me, receives Him Who sent Me.”
YashaYahuw 43:10-13 “You are My witnesses,” says YaHuWaH, “With My Servant Whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I AM HE (ani huw). Before Me there was no Aluhym formed, neither shall there be after Me. 43:11 I, MYSELF AM YaHuWaH ; and besides Me there is no Savior. 43:12 I have declared, I have saved, and I have shown; and there was no strange mighty one among you. Therefore you are My witnesses,” says YaHuWaH , “and I AM Aluhym. 43:13 Yes, since the day was I AM HE; and there is no one who can deliver out of My Hand. I shall work, and who can hinder it?” [I AM HE in third person is YAHUW .... thus YAHUW + SHUWAH = I AM HE who SAVES.]
13:21 When YaHuWSHuWaH had said this, He was troubled within His Ruach, and testified, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you shall hand Me over.”
13:22 The taught ones looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke. 13:23 One of His taught ones, whom YaHuWSHuWaH loved, was reclining on the bosom of YaHuWSHuWaH. 13:24 Shim'own Kepha therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He speaks.”
13:25 He, leaning back, as he was, on YaHuWSHuWaH’s breast, asked him, “Master, who is it?”
13:26 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore answered, “It is he to whom I shall give this morsel/sop when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, He gave it to Yehudah, the son of Shim'own Iscariot. 13:27 After the morsel, then satan entered into him.
Then YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
13:28 Now no man at the table knew why He said this to him. 13:29 For some thought, because Yehudah had the money box, that YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” (the upcoming Pesach supper that comes after the lamb is slain on the 14th that they believed they would still be eating) or that he should give something to the poor. 13:30 Therefore, having received that morsel, he went out immediately. It was night. (our Tue. night- 4th day of week has begun.)
13:31 When he had gone out, YaHuWSHuWaH said, “Now the Son of Adam has been magnified, and YaHuWaH has been magnified in Him. 13:32 If YaHuWaH has been magnified in Him, YaHuWaH shall also magnify Him in Himself, and He shall magnify Him immediately. 13:33 My sons, I shall be with you a little while longer. You shall seek Me, and as I said to the Yahuwdiym, ‘Where I am going [to the Father], you can not come,’ so now I tell you. 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another. 13:35 By this everyone shall know that you are My taught ones, if you have love for one another.”
13:36 Shim'own Kepha said to Him, “Master, where are You going?”
YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “Where I am going, you are unable to follow Me now, but eventually you shall accompany Me.”
13:37 Kepha said to Him, “Master, why can not I follow You now? I shall lay down my life for You.”
13:38 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Most certainly I tell you, the rooster/gaver will not crow[twice] until you have denied Me three times.
14:1 “Do not let your heart be troubled. Put your trust on YaHuWaH (Prov. 3:5-8). Believe also in Me. 14:2 In My Father’s House are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. 14:3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I shall come again, and shall take you to unto Myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
[YaHuWSHuWaH is speaking here in wedding terminology. At their betrothal ceremony, a bridegroom would tell his bride, "I am going away to prepare a wedding chamber for you." The second stage of the wedding would come an indefinite amount of time later when the groom's father decided that all was ready, (cf. Mark. 13:32 But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the messengers in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father) then he would go to bring his bride to his father's house for the second ceremony. After they stayed in their wedding chamber seven days, they would go back to the bride's home for the wedding feast. [YaHuWSHuWaH's Father created these cultural patterns to foreshadow the seven days during which we will be in His House before we return with YaHuWSHuWaH to our house (i.e., earth) to reign with YaHuWSHuWaH after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19:7)] (?? ) - this may be part of the 10 days after the resurrection of His flock until the deliverance of the living ones .... and they will return with YaHuWSHuWaH and witness the deliverance of those still living, that are on the brink of destruction - YashaYahuw 27:12-13) …. there is also the text in Deut. 24:5 that says that a newly married man may not go to war for a year, but stay with his bride instead. Could this apply here?
14:4 Where I go, you know, and you know The Way.” 14:5 Ta'own said to Him, “Master, we do not know where You are going. How can we know the Way?” 14:6 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “I AM the Way, the Truth (emet), and the life . No one comes to the Father, except through Me. 14:7 If you have known Me, you have also known My Father. From now on, you do know Him, and have seen Him.” (He is declaring Himself as The Great High Priest)
Emet -Truth
the Hebrew word for “truth”. It is אמת 'emeth (emet)'. It is written with the three letters “aleph,” “mem,” “taw”. These are the first, the middle and the last letters of the Hebrew aleph bet. Mem is the Hebrew letter meaning “water”. It is the Aleph-Taw (at) with Living Water in the middle of it.
(at) Aleph-Taw = the beginning and the completion - the first and the last.
With these three we have a description of Mashiyach Who is the Living Water and the “Truth”. Yahuwshuwah said: I am the Way, the Truth אמת (emeth) and the life.. Yahuwchanan 14:6
This Living Water also referred to in Yahuwchanan 7:37 Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, {called Hoshana Raba, meaning "Save us Great One"}(Shmini Atzeret/late fall/ lunar month 7) YaHuWSHuWaH stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!
14:8 Philippos said to Him, “Master, show us the Father, and that shall be enough for us.”
14:9 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, yet you haven't recognized Me, O Philippos? He who has seen Me, has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ 14:10 Do not you believe that I AM in My Father, and the Father is in Me? The Words that I tell you, I speak not from Myself; (Deut. 18:18-19) but the Father Who abides in Me performs His works. [the Body that was prepared for Him] 14:11 Believe Me that I am in My Father and My Father in Me, or else believe Me for the very works’ sake. 14:12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also; and he shall do greater works than these, because I am going to My Father. 14:13 Whatever you shall ask in My Name, that shall I do, that the Father may be magnified in the Son. 14:14 If you shall ask anything in My Name, I shall do it. 14:15 If you love Me, keep My Commandments. 14:16 I shall pray to the Father, and He shall give you another Helper (Aramaic has Redeemer - the One Who ends the curse of Adam) that will be with you forever, — 14:17 the Ruach of Truth, whom the world can not receive; for it does not discern or acknowledge Him, neither knows Him. You recognize Him, for He lives with you, and shall be in you. 14:18 I shall not leave you orphans. I shall come to you. 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world shall see Me no more; but you shall see Me. Because I live, you shall live also. 14:20 In That Day you shall know that I AM in My Father, and you are in Me, and I AM in you. 14:21 The one who has My Commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves Me. The one who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him, and shall manifest Myself to him.”
14:22 Yahuwdah (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Master, what has happened that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
14:23 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “If a man loves Me, he shall guard My Word. My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him, and make Our home in him. 14:24 He who does not love Me does not keep My Words (miltha). The Word (miltha) which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s Who sent Me. (Deut. 18:18-19) 14:25 I have said these things to you, while still living with you. 14:26 But the Redeemer, the Ruwach HaQadosh (Who IS YaHuWaH), Whom the Father shall send in My Name, That-One shall teach you all things, and shall remind you of all that I said to you. 14:27 Shalom I leave with you. My shalom I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you; do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. 14:28 You heard how I told you, ‘I go away, and I come to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I said ‘I am going to My Father ;’ for the Father is Greater than I. 14:29 Now I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you may believe. 14:30 I shall no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in Me. 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded Me, even so I do. Arise, let us go from here.
15:1 “I, I AM(ena-na) the true Vine, and My Father is the Cultivator. 15:2 Every branch on Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 15:3 You are already pruned clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you. 15:4 Remain in Me, and I shall stay in you. As the branch can not bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in Me. 15:5 I AM the Vine. You are the branches (Natsarim). He who remains in Me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from Me you are not able to do even one thing. 15:6 If a man does not remain in Me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
[YashaYahuw 27:10 When its boughs are withered, they shall be broken off. The women shall come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore He who made them shall not have compassion on them, and He who formed them shall show them no favor.]
15:7 If you remain in Me, and My Words remain in you, you shall ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you.
15:8 “In this is My Father magnified, that you bear much fruit; and so you shall be My taught ones. 15:9 Even as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Remain in My love. 15:10 If you keep My Commandments, you shall remain in My love; even as I have kept My Father’s Commandments (always means Torah), and remain in His love. 15:11 I have spoken these things to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
15:12 “This is My Commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life (self) for his friends. 15:14 You are My friends, if you do whatever I command you. 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what His Master does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from My Father, I have made known to you (Deut. 18:18-19). 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should bear fruit more and more, and that your fruit should remain; so that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My Name, He might give it to you.
15:17 “I command these things to you, that you may love one another. 15:18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 15:20 Remember the Word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they shall also persecute you. If they kept My Word, they shall keep yours also. 15:21 But all these things shall they do to you for My Name’s sake, because they do not know Him Who sent Me. 15:22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now their sin is left uncovered. 15:23 He who hates Me, hates My Father also. 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. 15:25 But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their Torah ‘They hated Me without a cause.’
“They are numerous, the ones hating Me without a cause, more than the hairs of My head! Those who want to cut Me off, being My enemies wrongfully are mighty; then I have to restore what I did not steal.” [Psalms 69: 4]
15:26 “When the Redeemer (Ruwach of Truth) has come, Whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Ruach of Truth, Who proceeds forth from the Father, That-One shall witness concerning Me. 15:27 You shall also testify, because you have been with Me from the start.
16:1 “These things have I spoken to you, so that you would not be caused to stumble. 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time comes that whoever kills you shall think that he offers service to YaHuWaH. 16:3 They shall do these things because they have not known the Father, nor Me. 16:4 But I have told you these things, so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I did not tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you. 16:5 But now I am going to Him Who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 16:6 But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart. 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Redeemer (Ruwach of Truth) will not come to you. But if I go, I shall send Him to you. 16:8 And When He has come, He shall convict the world (1) about sin, (2) about righteousness, and (3) about judgment; 16:9 (1) about sin, because they do not believe on Me; 16:10 (2) about righteousness, because I go away to My Father, and you do not all discern Me yet; 16:11 (3) about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.
16:12 “I have yet many things to tell you, but you can not bear them now. 16:13 But when the Ruwach of Truth, has come, He shall guide you into all truth, for He shall not speak from Himself; but whatever He hears, He shall speak. He shall announce to you things that are coming. 16:14 That-One shall render Me Qadosh, for He shall receive of Mine, and shall announce it to you. 16:15 All things whatever the Father has are Mine; therefore I said That-One receives of Mine, and shall announce it to you. 16:16 A little while, and you shall not see Me. Again a little while, and you shall see Me.”
16:17 Some of His taught ones therefore said to one another, “What is this that He says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me, and again a little while, and you shall see Me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father ?’” 16:18 They said therefore, “What is this that He says, ‘A little while?’ We do not know what He is saying.”
16:19 Therefore YaHuWSHuWaH perceived that they wanted to ask Him, and He said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me, and again a little while, and you shall see Me?’ 16:20 Most certainly I tell you, that you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice. You shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 16:21 A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow, because her time has come. But when she has delivered a son, she does not remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a man is born into the world. 16:22 Therefore you now have sorrow, but I shall see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and no one shall take your joy away from you.
16:23 “In that day you shall ask Me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in My Name, He will give it to you. 16:24 Until now, you have asked nothing in My Name. Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be made full. 16:25 I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I shall no more speak to you in figures of speech, but shall tell you plainly about the Father. 16:26 In that day you shall ask in My Name; and I do not say to you, that I shall pray to the Father for you, 16:27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from Aluah. 16:28 I came out from the Father, and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.”
16:29 His taught ones said to Him, “Behold, now You speak plainly, and speak no figures of speech. 16:30 Now we know that You know all things, and do not need for anyone to question You. By this we are persuaded that You did come forth out of the Mighty One [Aluah]”
16:31 YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Do you now believe? 16:32 Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you shall be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you shall leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 16:33 I have told you these things, that in Me you may have shalom. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
17:1 YaHuWSHuWaH said these things, and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the time has come. Magnify Your Son, that Your Son may also magnify You; 17:2 even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, He shall give endless life to all whom You have given Him. 17:3 This is endless life: that they should know You, the only true Aluah, and Him Whom You sent, YaHuWSHuWaH the Anointed. 17:4 I magnified You on the earth. I have accomplished the work which You have given Me to do. 17:5 Now, Father, magnify Me with Your own Self with the majesty that I possessed existing with You before the world was (Olam She'awar). 17:6 I revealed [rendered apparent] Your Name [YaHuWaH] to the ones whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You have given them to Me. They have guarded Your Word. 17:7 Now they have known that all things whatever You have given Me are from You, 17:8 for the Words which You have given Me I have given to them, and they received them [Deut. 18:17-19], and knew for sure that I came forth from You, and they were persuaded that You sent Me. 17:9 I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 17:10 All things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am magnified in them. 17:11 I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to Your Presence Qadosh Father, keep them by the Power of Your Name - the Name which You have given Me (This is a very key passage. Aramaic literally reads that YaHuWaH gave His Name to YaHuWSHuWaH, therefore He has the Name of His Father in Him -- AENT), that they may be one, even as We are One. (YaHuW-SHuWaH )
YaHuWaH is One, consisting of the Father, the Son, and His Force, the Ruwach. He has seven Ruwach's. His name is YaHuWaH, and the name of the Son’s human manifestation is YaHuWSHuWaH. YaHuWSHuWaH is YaHuWaH’s Expression, or Word/Miltha/Torah.
17:12 While I was with them in the world, I was guarding them in Your Name. Those whom You have given Me I have kept. None of them is lost, except the son of perdition/destruction, (2 Thess. 2:3) that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
Perdition/destruction: From a presumed derivative of apollumi; ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal) -- damnable(-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste. (This verse and 2 Thess. 2:3 are the only places in Scripture where this term is used.)
17:13 But now I come to You, and I say these things in the world, that they may have My joy made full in themselves. 17:14 I have given them Your Word (Deut. 18:18-19). The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17:15 I pray not that You would take them from the world, but that You would keep them from the evil one. 17:16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world. 17:17 Set them apart in Your Truth. Your Word is Truth. [Psalms 119:142] 17:18 As You sent Me forth into the world, even so I have sent them forth into the world. 17:19 And I fear for their sakes (faces). I Set-apart Myself so that they themselves also may be Set-apart by Truth. 17:20 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in Me through their word, 17:21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us; that the world may believe that You sent Me. 17:22 The Qabod which You have given Me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as We are One;
[YashaYahuw 42:8 “I AM YaHuWaH. That is My Name. I shall not give My Qabod to another, nor My praise to engraved images.
17:23 I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You loved Me. 17:24 Father, I desire that they also whom You have given Me be with Me where I am, that they may see My esteem, which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the disruption of the world. (Olam She'avar - The World That Was)
17:25 Righteous Father, the world has not known You, but I knew You; and these knew that You did send Me forth. 17:26 I made known to them Your Name, and shall make it known; that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
18:1 When YaHuWSHuWaH had spoken these words, He went out with His taught ones over the brook Qidrown, where there was a garden, into which He and His taught ones entered. 18:2 Now Yehudah, who handed Him over, also knew the place, for YaHuWSHuWaH often met there with His taught ones. 18:3 Yehudah then, having taken a detachment of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and the Parash, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. 18:4 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to Him, went forth, and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”
18:5 They answered Him, “YaHuWSHuWaH of Nazareth.”
YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “I AM HE.” (Aramaic has I AM HE) [YashaYahuw 41:4 - "I, YaHuWaH, am the First, and even the Last, I AM HE.” … 43:11- "and apart from Me there is no Savior."] Yehudah also, who delivered Him up, was standing with them. 18:6 When therefore He said to them, “I AM HE,” they went backward, and fell to the ground.
18:7 Again therefore He asked them, “Who are you looking for?”
They said, “YaHuWSHuWaH of Nazareth.”
18:8 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “I told you that I AM HE. If therefore you seek Me, let these go their way,” 18:9 that the word might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You have given Me, I have lost none.”
18:10 Shim'own Kepha therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Melekh. 18:11 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to Kepha, “Put the sword into its sheath, for all those having taken a sword shall perish by the sword. Or do you think that I am unable right now to call My Father, and He will immediately stand more than twelve legions of envoys beside Me? [MattithYâhuw 26: 52-53] The cup which the Father has given Me, shall I not surely drink it?” How, then, should the scriptures be fulfilled that have written that it must be in this way?” [MattithYâhuw 26: 54]
And responding, YaHuWSHuWaH said: “Permit only this much.” And having touched his ear, He healed him. [Luke 22: 51] And YaHuWSHuWaH said to those who were come against Him, chief priests and wardens of the Miqdash and elders:
“Have you come out with swords and clubs against Me as if against a robber, to seize Me? Daily when I was with you within the Miqdash, you did not extend your hands against Me; nevertheless this is your hour, with the authority of the darkness, [Luke 22: 52-53] and all this is coming to pass in order that the scriptures of the predicators may be fulfilled.” [MattithYahuw 26: 56]
18:12 So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Yahuwdiym, seized YaHuWSHuWaH and bound Him, 18:13 and led Him to ChananYahuw first, for he was father-in-law to Kaiaphas’ who was high priest that year. 18:14 Now it was Kaiaphas who advised the Yahuwdiym that it was expedient that one man should perish for the people. 18:15 Shim'own Kepha followed YaHuWSHuWaH, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with YaHuWSHuWaH into the court of the high priest; 18:16 but Kepha was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Kepha. 18:17 Then the maid who kept the door said to Kepha, “Are you also one of this Man’s taught ones?” He said, “I am not.”
18:18 Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold, were warming themselves. Kepha was with them, standing and warming himself. 18:19 The high priest therefore asked YaHuWSHuWaH about His taught ones, and about His teaching. 18:20 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues, and in the Miqdash, where the Yahuwdim always meet. I said nothing in secret. 18:21 Why do you ask Me? Ask those who have heard Me what I said to them. Behold, these know the things which I said.”
[YashaYahuw 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a place of the land of darkness. I did not say to the seed of Ya'aqob, ‘Search diligently for Me' for nothing. I, YaHuWaH, speak righteousness. I declare things that are straight. ..... 48:16 “Come near to Me and hear this: (YaHuWSHuWaH speaking) “From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, I was there.” Now the Sovereign YaHuWaH has sent Me along with His Ruwach. 48:17 Thus says YaHuWaH, your Redeemer, the Qadosh-One of Ysra'al: I AM YaHuWaH your Aluhym, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the Way that you should go. [Shemoth/Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I send My Messenger before you, to guard you by the Way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 23:21 Pay attention to Him, and listen to His Voice. do not provoke Him, for He shall not pardon your disobedience, for My Name is in Him."] 48:18 Oh that you had listened to My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea: 48:19 your seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of your body like its grains: his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before Me. [Mat. 23:37 and Lk. 19:44.]]
18:22 When He had said this, one of the officers standing by slapped YaHuWSHuWaH with his hand, saying, “Do You answer the high priest like that?”
18:23 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?”
18:24 ChananYahuw sent Him bound to Kaiaphas the high priest. 18:25 Now Shim'own Kepha was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “ Are you not also one of His taught ones?”
He denied it, and said, “I am not.”And he exited outside into the forecourt, and a cock crowed. [Mark 14: 68]
18:26 One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Kepha had cut off, said, “did not I see you in the garden with Him?”
18:27 Kepha therefore denied it again, and immediately a cock crowed the second time! [Mark 14: 72] [getting to be sunrise on day 4 - the midst of the week]
18:28 They led YaHuWSHuWaH therefore from Kaiaphas into the Praetorium [Governor’s courtroom]. It was early, and they themselves did not enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Pesach.
[Note here that YaHuWSHuWaH had instituted a new ordinance at twilight on the 13th (the "foot-washing supper" … The true Pesach slaughter was still to come later that day - in the evening before sunset…. that slaughter being the Lamb of Aluhym - Yahuwshuwah.]
18:29 Pilatos therefore went out to them, and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?”
18:30 They answered him, “If this Man were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you.”
18:31 Pilatos therefore said to them, “Take Him yourselves, and judge Him according to your law.”
Therefore the Yahuwdiym said to him, “It is not lawful [by Roman law] for us to put anyone to death,”(The Scepter had departed from Yahuwdah!) 18:32 that the word of YaHuWSHuWaH might be fulfilled, which He spoke, signifying by what kind of death He should die.
[Consider the fakery: how many times did these try to kill Him by stoning or other means? Yet this time, it is politically motivated, to have their feared Sovereigns, the Romans, execute their disbelieved Deliverer.]
18:33 Pilatus therefore entered again into the Praetorium, called YaHuWSHuWaH, and said to Him, “ You, are the sovereign of the Yahuwdim??”
[Having come as one of our brothers, YaHuWSHuWaH had an extremely average physical appearance, which could blend indistinguishably into the crowds, and required the Parash who saw Him daily to use one of His pupils to positively identify Him (see YashaYahuw 53:2). Pilátos here seems to find His Royal position difficult to reconcile with His (then) Joe Average physical appearance.]
18:34 YaHuWSHuWaH answered him, “Do you say this by yourself, or did others tell you about Me?”
18:35 Pilatus answered, “I’m not a Yahuwdim, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You to me. What have You done?”
18:36 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “My reign is not of this world. If My reign were of this world, then My servants would fight, that I would not be delivered to the Yahuwdiym. But now My reign is not from here.”
18:37 Pilatus therefore said to Him, “Are You a sovereign then?”
YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “You say it because I AM [’é-hyéh (I shall always continue being)] a sovereign. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth listens to My voice.”
18:38 Pilatos said to him, “What is Truth?”
When he had said this, he went out again to the Yahuwdiym, and said to them, “I find no basis for a charge against Him. (The Lamb has been inspected and declared to be without blemish) 18:39 But you have a custom, that I should release someone to you at the Pesach. Therefore do you want me to release to you the Sovereign of the Yahuwdim?” (YaHuWSHuWaH has been chosen to be the "scapegoat" - to be throw off the cliff as done on Yom Kippur.)
18:40 Then they all shouted again, saying, “Not this One, but Bar-Abba!” Now Bar-Abba was a robber. (Ironically Bar-Abba = Son of the Father -prophetic?)
19:1 So Pilatos then took YaHuWSHuWaH, and flogged Him [rod and stripes*]. 19:2 The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown (the ram caught in the thorn bush and slaughtered by Abraham instead of Yitschaq), and put it on His head, and dressed Him in a purple garment [by order of Herodes (Luke 23: 11)]. 19:3 They kept saying, “Hail, King of the Yahuwdim!” and they kept slapping Him.
[* Because His ancestors the kings sinned against YaHuWaH, they had to be punished with the rod and stripes. It does not say the blows and stripes would come upon those kings in particular; that is why YaHuWSHuWaH had to receive scourging and stripes. (19:1) This allowed the endless throne of Dawiyd, on which no one sat anymore (Ps. 89:38ff), to be restored. (89:33-37)] [Bereshiyth 22:13 Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and saw that behind him was a ram caught in the thicket of thorns by his horns. Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.]
19:4 Then Pilatos went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I bring Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him. ”(He was declared again to be without spot or blemish)
19:5 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. Pilatos said to them, “Behold, the Man!”
(ZekarYahuw 6:12 “Behold the Man - also wearing many crowns - not of thorns ….")
19:6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they shouted, saying, “Hang Him on a stake! Hang Him on a stake!”
Pilatos said to them, “Take Him yourselves, and hang Him, for I find no basis for a charge against Him.” (He was declared to be without spot or blemish three times)
19:7 The Yahuwdiym answered him, “We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because He made Himself out to be the Son of the Mighty One.”
19:8 When therefore Pilatos heard this saying, he was more afraid. 19:9 He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to YaHuWSHuWaH, “Where are You from?” But YaHuWSHuWaH gave him no answer. 19:10 Pilatos therefore said to Him, “ You are not speaking to me? Do not you know that I have authority to release You, and have authority to impale You?”
19:11 YaHuWSHuWaH answered, “You would have no authority at all against Me, unless it were given to you from above (the First). Therefore he who delivered Me to you has greater sin (than yours.)”
19:12 At this, Pilatos was seeking to release Him, but the Yahuwdiym cried out, saying, “If you release this Man, you are not Kaisar’s friend! Everyone who makes himself a sovereign speaks against Kaisar!”
19:13 When Pilatos therefore heard these words, he brought YaHuWSHuWaH out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called “The Pavement,” but in Hebrew, “Gabbatha (tessellated mosaic pavement).” 19:14 Now it was the Preparation Day of the Pesach week, at about the sixth hour. He said to the Yahuwdiym, “Behold, your Sovereign!”
19:15 They cried out, “Away with Him! Away with Him! Hang Him on the stake!”
Pilatos said to them, “Shall I hang your King?”
The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Kaisar!”
[1 Shemuw'al 8: 7 And YaHuWaH said to Shemuw’al: “Obey the people, to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, rather they have rejected Me from being King over them.”
19:16 So then he delivered Him to them to be hung. So they took YaHuWSHuWaH and led Him away. 19:17 He went out, bearing His stake, to the place called “The Place of a Skull (where tradition says Adam's skull was buried),” which is called in Ibriy, “Gulgoleth,” 19:18 where they hung Him on the tree, and with Him two others, one on either side, and YaHuWSHuWaH in the middle (Possibly, there was but one tree - shared by all three ?). 19:19 Pilatos wrote a title also, and put it on the stake. There was written, “YaHuWSHuWaH Hanzori Wumelech HaYauwdim.” (Acrostic = YHWH - that is why the authorities wanted the sign changed!)
19:20 Therefore many of the Yahuwdiym read this title, for the place where YaHuWSHuWaH was put on the stake was near the Place (Hekal) of the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek. 19:21 The chief priests of the Yahuwdiym therefore said to Pilatos, “do not write, ‘The King of the Yahuwdiym,’ but, ‘He said, I am King of the Yahuwdiym.’” (the word "Place" was often a euphemism for the Hekal)
19:22 Pilatos answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had impaled YaHuWSHuWaH, took His garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the coat. Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. 19:24 Then they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, “They parted My garments among them. For My cloak they cast lots.” Psalm 22:18 Therefore the soldiers did these things.
19:25 And by the stake of YaHuWSHuWaH stood His mother, and His mother’s sister, Miryam the wife of Klopas, and Miryam Migdal. 19:26 Therefore when YaHuWSHuWaH saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing there, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 19:27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her into his own home (family).
YaHuWSHuWaH, being the firstborn son of Miryam, by the Law had to “Esteem your father and mother” (Exodus 20:12, the 5th commandment), which entails caring for them in their old age. YaHuWSHuWaH here delegated this responsibility to whom He chose, as apparently Yowseph His adoptive father must have died. (Nonetheless, according to Luke 2: 35, she was to die by the sword so that the reasonings of many hearts might be revealed. ??? physical or in the ruwach?)
19:28 After this, YaHuWSHuWaH, knowing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.”[Psalm 69: 21 …and for My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink:] 19:29 Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at His mouth. 19:30 When YaHuWSHuWaH therefore had received the vinegar, He said, “It has been accomplished.” He bowed His head, and gave up His Breath. [He was on the stake from the third hour (9 AM until the 9th hour, 3PM -- a total of 6 hours -- 1 hour for each day of the week and then the Shabbath rest]
[This was on day 14 of month 1 in 30 CE - in the midst of the week/day 4]
[Matt. 27:50 YaHuWSHuWaH cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up His Breath. 27:51 Behold, the veil of the Miqdash was torn in two from the top to the bottom. - then - Vs. 19:34 ... one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.]
[One of the purposes pictured is of the water and blood, combined with the tearing of the veil of the Most Qodesh Place (the hymen of the Virgin Ysra'al), to indicate that a birth had taken place. The birth of YaHuWSHuWaH from His physical form into His Ruwachual form. (Firstborn from the dead - The One New Man!)
The second purpose pictured of how the water and blood, combined with the piercing of YaHuWSHuWaH’s side, showed that the time for His wife to be brought forth, and prepared for Him, had arrived. [The One New Man was not only birthed but was having His Bride taken from His side - [Gen. 2:21 YaHuWaH Aluhym caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept; and he took one of his (sides) ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 2:22 He made the side (rib), which YaHuWaH Aluhym had taken from the man, into a woman, and brought her to the man.]
19:31 Therefore the Yahuwdiym, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies would not remain on the stake on the Shabbath (for that Shabbath was a high one (first day of Unleavened Bread), asked of Pilatos that their legs might be broken, [they could no longer push up to breathe - so they suffocated] and that they might be taken away. 19:32 Therefore the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with Him; 19:33 but when they came to YaHuWSHuWaH, and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 19:34 However one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. [as when a birth occurs - The Head of the One New Man was born/firstborn from the dead] 19:35 He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe. 19:36 For these things happened, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, “A bone of Him shall not be broken.” (Exodus 12:46; Numbers 9:12; Psalm 34:20) 19:37 Again another Scripture says, “ They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”
“[And I will pour out upon the House of Dawiyd and upon the inhabitants of Yahrushalum a Ruwach of kindness and supplications, and they will look to Me, Aleph-Taw, Whom they pierced, and they will mourn over Him, as mourning over the only begotten Son, and grieve bitterly for Him, as grieving over the firstborn Son!]” ZecharYahuw 12:10
19:38 After these things, Yowseph of Ramah, being a disciple of YaHuWSHuWaH, but secretly for fear of the Yahuwdiym, asked of Pilatos that he might take away YaHuWSHuWaH’s body. Pilatos gave him permission. He came therefore and took away His body. 19:39 Nikodemos, who at first came to YaHuWSHuWaH by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred Roman pounds. 19:40 So they took YaHuWSHuWaH’s body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Yahuwdiym is to bury. 19:41 Now in the place where He was impaled there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid. 19:42 Then because of the Yahuwdiym’s Preparation Day [before the high Shabbat of ULB] (for the tomb was near at hand) they laid YaHuWSHuWaH there.
[Therefore they laid YaHuWSHuWaH there because the Shabbath was beginning, because the tomb was nearby. YashaYahuw 53: 9] --- touching His dead body made them unclean for 7 days and unable to participate in ULB - but that mattered not to them.
20:1 Now on the first day of the week, Miryam Migdal does-come early before darkness yet came, [shortly after Shabbath sunset] unto the sepulcher, and does-see the stone having-been-taken-away from the sepulcher. [actual Greek]
(He arose just before sunset on that Shabbath - after 3 days and nights in the tomb) .. [ Day 17 of month 1 in 30 CE]
[{original of above} 20:1 Now on the first day of the week, Miryam Migdal went early before darkness came, [shortly after Shabbath sunset] to the tomb, and saw the stone taken away from the tomb. ]
Luke 24:1 But on the first day of the week, after the setting of the sun [after Shabbath sunset], they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared. 24:2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.
Mark 16:1 When the day of repose [the Shabbath] was past, Miryam Migdal, and Miryam the mother of Ya'aqob, and Shalom, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him. 16:2 Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb just as the sun was setting [after sundown of the weekly Shabbath]. (Pure Scriptures)
Matt. 28:1 Now after the Shabbaths [ULB & 7th day Shabbaths], as the next day was dawning (at sunset), Miryam Migdal and the other Miryam [His mother] came to see the tomb. 28:2 Behold, there was a great earthquake, for a messenger of YaHuWaH descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it. -- Matt. 28:1 Peshita ... And in the evening of the Shabbath, as it dawned toward the first day of the week, came Miryam from Migdal and the other Miryam to see the sepulcher. (The Scriptures are One!!!)
20:2 Therefore she ran and came to Shim'own Kepha, and to the other disciple whom YaHuWSHuWaH loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Master out of the tomb, and I do not know where they have laid Him!”
20:3 Therefore Kepha and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb. 20:4 They both ran together. The other disciple outran Kepha, and came to the tomb first. 20:5 Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying, yet he did not enter in. [He did not want to be defiled/made unclean by a dead body - Kepha didn't care!] 20:6 Then Shim'own Kepha came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying, 20:7 and the cloth that had been on His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself. 20:8 So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in [knowing now that there was no dead body there.], and he saw and believed. 20:9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture [which said], that He must rise from the dead. 20:10 So the taught ones went away again to their own homes.
20:11 But Miryam was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb, 20:12 and she saw two messenger in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of YaHuWSHuWaH had lain. 20:13 They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Master, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 20:14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw YaHuWSHuWaH standing, and did not know that it was YaHuWSHuWaH. [Darkness was setting in - even thought the moon was still almost full.]
20:15 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I shall take Him away.”
20:16 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “Miryam.”
She turned and said to Him, “Rbúwliy - (Majesty is mine)!” which is to say, “Great Teacher!”
20:17 YaHuWSHuWaH said to her, “do not hold Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father [to complete the wave offering on First-fruits]; but go to My brothers, and tell them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My Aluah and your Aluah. {this is the reanimated human side of YaHuWSHuWaH speaking}
20:18 Miryam Migdal came and told the taught ones that she had seen the Master, and that He had said these things to her. 20:19 When therefore it was evening (late afternoon) , on that day, the first day of the week (Feast of First Fruits after His ascension as the Wave Offering) and when the doors were locked where the taught ones were assembled, for fear of the Yahuwdiym, YaHuWSHuWaH came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Shalowm immakhem (Peace be with you [plural]!).”
20:20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. The taught ones therefore were glad when they saw the Master. 20:21 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them again, ““Shalowm immakhem (Peace be with you [plural]!).” As the Father has sent Me, even so I send you.” 20:22 When He had said this, He Breathed on them (Bereshith 2:17), and said to them, “Receive Ruwach Ha'Qadosh! [Bereshiyth 2:17 YaHuWaH Aluhym formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.] 20:23 Who's sins you release, they are released them. Who’s sins you retain, they have been retained.”
20:24 But Ta'owm, one of the twelve, called Twin, wasn’t with them when YaHuWSHuWaH came. 20:25 The other taught ones therefore said to him, “We have seen the Master!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I shall not be persuaded at all.”
20:26 After eight days again His taught ones were inside, and Ta'owm was with them. YaHuWSHuWaH came, the doors being locked, and stood in the midst, and said, “Shalowm immakhem (Peace be with you [plural]!).” 20:27 Then He said to Ta'owm, “Reach here your finger, and see My hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but trusting.” (This may well be prophetic of the "8th day" that comes after the Millennium when ALL the unbelieving will see what Ta'own saw and believe unto life.)
20:28 Ta'owm answered Him, “'Adonâ´y w-'Aluhây (My Sovereign and my Mighty One)!”
20:29 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Ta'owm, because you have seen Me, you have been persuaded. Happy are those who have not seen, yet are persuaded.”
20:30 Therefore YaHuWSHuWaH did many other signs in the presence of His taught ones, which are not written in this book; 20:31 but these are written, that you may believe that YaHuWSHuWaH is the Anointed, the Son of YaHuWaH, and that believing you may possess life through His Name.
21:1 After these things, YaHuWSHuWaH revealed Himself again to the taught ones at the sea of Tiberios [the sea of Gâlíyl]. He revealed Himself this way. 21:2 Shim'own Kepha, Ta'owm called Twin, Nethan'al of Qanah in Galiyl, and the sons of Zabdiy, and two others of His taught ones were together. 21:3 Shim'own Kepha said to them, “I’m going fishing.”
They told him, “We are also coming with you.” They immediately went out, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing. 21:4 But when day had already come, YaHuWSHuWaH stood on the beach, yet the taught ones did not know that it was YaHuWSHuWaH. 21:5 YaHuWSHuWaH therefore said to them, “Sons, have you anything to eat?”
They answered Him, “No.”
21:6 He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you shall find some.”
They cast it therefore, and now they were not able to draw it in for the multitude of fish. 21:7 That disciple therefore whom YaHuWSHuWaH loved said to Kepha, “It’s the Master!”
So when Shim'own Kepha heard that it was the Master, he wrapped his coat around him (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea to come to YaHuWSHuWaH. 21:8 But the other taught ones came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away), dragging the net full of fish. 21:9 So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 21:10 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”
21:11 Shim'own Kepha went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, one hundred fifty-three; and even though there were so many, the net was not torn.
(3x50 + 3) [In Hebrew the gemetra of Ani YHWH Aluheinu - I AM YaHuWaH Aluhym = 153 ---- also HaPesach - The Passover also Bne haAluahiym - Sons of Aluhym] This number seems to imply that the number of the elect is fixed and pre-ordained and includes all kinds of men that will be in His Net. Yahuwchanan 6:39 "of all that He (the Father) has given Me I should lose nothing." and Yahuwchanan 17:12 …" those that You have given Me I have kept, and none of them are lost." (the net wasn't torn !)
The Hebrew phrase is bne haAluahiym. Remember that in the construct state in Hebrew (i.e. the sons of Aluhym, the prefix ha (meaning the) goes with the second noun, not the first.
Now, let's calculate the Gematria of this phrase in Hebrew. There are two words, bne (the sons of) and Aluhym.
Bne has three Hebrew letters – Bet, Nun and Yod. Bet has a Gematria of 2, Nun has a Gematria of 50, and Yod has a Gematria of 10, giving a total Gematria of 62.
HaAluahiym has six Hebrew letters. Heh has a Gematria of 5, Alef has a Gematria of 1, Lamed has a Gematria of 30, Heh has a Gematria of 5, Yod has a Gematria of 10, and Mem has a Gematria of 40. Thus, the total Gematria is 91.
If we add 62 and 91, the Gematria for the whole phrase (the sons of Aluhym) is 153! Thus, the Gematria of the sons of Aluhym in Hebrew adds up to 153. Amazing, but true!
21:12 YaHuWSHuWaH said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.”
None of the taught ones dared inquire of Him, “Who are You?” knowing that it was the Master.
21:13 Then YaHuWSHuWaH came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise. 21:14 This is now the third time that YaHuWSHuWaH was revealed to His taught ones, after He had risen from the dead. 21:15 So when they had eaten their breakfast, YaHuWSHuWaH said to Shim'own Kepha “Shim'own, son of Yownah, do you love Me more than these?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Master; you know that I have brotherly love for You.”
He said to him, “Pasture My lambs for Me.” 21:16 He said to him again a second time, “Shim'own, son of Yownah, do you love Me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Master; you know that I love You as a brother.”
He said to him, “Pasture My ewes for Me.” 21:17 He said to him the third time, “Shim'own, son of Yownah, do you have affection for Me?”
Kepha was grieved because He asked him the third time, “Do you have affection for Me?” He said to Him, “Master, you know everything. You know that I have affection for You.”
YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “Pasture My rams for Me. 21:18 Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you shall stretch out your hands, and another shall dress you, and carry you where you do not want to go.”
21:19 Now He said this, signifying by what kind of death he would esteem YaHuWaH. When He had said this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”
21:20 Then Kepha, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom YaHuWSHuWaH affectionately loved, the one who had also leaned on YaHuWSHuWaH’s breast at the supper and asked, “Master, who is going to deliver You up?” 21:21 Kepha seeing him, said to YaHuWSHuWaH, “Master, what about this one?”
21:22 YaHuWSHuWaH said to him, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” 21:23 This saying therefore went out among the brothers, that this disciple would not die. Yet YaHuWSHuWaH did not say to him that he would not die, but, “If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?” 21:24 This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true. 21:25 There are also many other things which YaHuWSHuWaH did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself would not have room for the scrolls that would be written!
